This is bittersweet, I suppose:

Happy to be going back to NC today after the 2 week work trip. Michigan not my cup of café.

But I'll miss working at a Corporate HQ location. Being in the plant, even if it's on the office side, wears on you.

And after that, Gurgie was never heard from again. His Jeep was found but no trace of it's owner. Some say it was aliens. Some say "That pub sure has good beer."

I just noticed that if I click on the "new" button instead of the thread title or page number that it automatically takes me to the first unread post of the thread!

Gurgie is alive & well... Jeep is tucked safely at the top of the driveway, full of diesel for a road trip to the ski hill early tomorrow morning.

Some Beau's Lug Tread was consumed during the making of this post.

Beautiful day today. I switched the vehicles in the driveway in preparation for a trip Teusday since the van has the sound system and plan to use it. Today MiLady and I went to get groceries in town and took the long LOOOONG way home! had The Doors L.A. Woman on, I see she's tapping her foot so put it to MY levels of listening and off we went. Just a nice day for it. Sun's out, kids are old enough to take care of themselves, no hurry, cruise on 95, back roads here we come, but not TOO long as we have frozen stuff........

Just one of those moments days like this are made for.

I had The Doors (I was in the mood to hear L.A. Woman at the volume music is meant to be listened at, lol.) for the trip back from driving my daughter for an X-ray Teusday (I drop her after at school and have a 20 km drive home so great time to do some listening.) so now need to pick something else. Hmm, if it's like this, weather like this suits AC/DC but maybe some old Sabbath or White Zombie, or Frank Sinatra or.......decisions decisions.

Happy just living life.

My buddy is out on a pipeline and his step son has made the honor roll in his high school, took him to a range today, he had a blast. Kid wants to go again asap lol

With a maximum of 18°, lot of motorcycles out today. Did a group ride for about an hour, then continued alone onto an excellent road in the vicinity. Did a couple runs, got to the top, "Oh darn the Parkway is closed.....guess I will have to ride down far way"......It was a 260km day total. I've lost some riding confidence after being off the bike, but it will come back with time.

Nothing makes you appreciate mountains, elevation change, and curves like spending 2 weeks in the Midwestern US. It is total freedom and riding/driving bliss here. On the way down, the occasional drivers (few and far between) were considerate to use the pull outs to let me by- I give a wave of gratitude when I ride by them.
