Just to add to the above...there's a reason CarPro resealed Essence+ for coated cars.

It all depends on how you maintain your coated car. If you never wash your MF towels, use a one bucket method, go to swirl-o-matic, etc. no coating will "lessen the swirls" lol  :rofl2: but if you wash it properly as instructed by the coating's installer, the paint will look mint.

In short, when it comes to scratches, it has nothing to do with the coating - b/c they are not hard or thick enough - but the person maintaining the coated car.

And I don't think people use a tissue to wash cars or remove show in the winter  :rofl2:

It was an example to show that even something as delicate appearing as tissue can mar pristine paint.

And like I said, "prevents" may ultimately have been the wrong word, but there's no question that such coatings lessen or reduce the possibility of fine scratches/swirls.

And I agree..maintenance or washing habits of paint (coated or not) have an impact on scratching/swirls.
