Rear calipers on the Forester?  I'm guessing so.  The OE ones are crap.  Jobber ones are much better.

I dunno if I mentioned this, but on the topic of restaurants- I really don't like it when the server leaves the bill on the table before I ask for it.

I get that in the US, they're trying to turn tables over, but then the customer feels forced out, which defeats the purpose of eating out.

A few times now the server has asked if we need anything else and when I ask for the bill they have it ready. I think that's a good tactic. If we wanted another drink or something, they just don't give it to you and print a new one.

I'm just rebuilding the OE ones with jobber parts.  New piston and seals.  Snap ring to hold dust seal in is a PITA however.

I have only bought calipers before (usually on sale).  Heck, I rarely own a vehicle long enough to have them needed to be replaced.

They all need to be redone...if I bought re-manufactured calipers, it would cost more than the value of the Forester.  This way it's costing me about $50 to rebuild all 4.

Shipping costs from the US.  :P

I'm adding a deep sump to my VW dune buggy's engine and I need an extension pipe for the oil pickup tube.  The only place that I've been able to find that sells one is from a VW performance parts store in the US.
Cost of the extension pipe:  $14.00 US
Cost of shipping (cheapest the web store offers) $44.00 US  >:(

PM me what you need and I'll send it to my US mailbox then ship it to you when it comes in. Will save you a few bucks anyways....

Watching TV and they have subtitles or something on the bottom of the screen you want to read...and a fecking ad for a hot tub company (or whatever) comes on and blocks damn near all of it and there's no way now you know what it said.  Commercials within the program itself.  Grrrrrr  >:( :stfu:

Walmart has to have one of the worst receipt systems going.  I don't shop there.  But my wife went to get a few things.  Few days later, working on the budget.  Come across the receipt.  FZR 3x40 CT $9.87, GL SR CR 14 $2.37, ZPL CN 13CT $9.97, HNS KIT $4.00.  Took forever to figure out what some of that was.

Was in our local Superstore.  Was looking for skim milk powder, because we use that when making bread.  Most of what they had on the shelf had a best before date of January 2016.  Best one had April 2016.

Sure, it's probably fine, but why would I pay for food that's over a year past its best before date?

Bulk barn is best for this. High turnover of products so it's always fresh.

Was looking at a 928 today. Got all the info.  Got said it needed some "really minor" engine work.  I asked why the work was. Oh just minor maintenance her says. Great! What it is? Oh just a water pump and timing belt.

FFS..this is 8-12 job. For a Porsche specialist.

True, but problem with that is an extra trip.  I often want to go to Bulk Barn to get things, as the bulk section at grocery stores isn't as good.  But then it's an extra trip, and with kids (especially in the winter), it's a PITA! So when do I go, I go alone, and spend $30.  Cashews are on sale!

The price of a doughnut (honey cruller) went up at the local Dunkin' Donuts. "Oh, cuz Krispy Kreme (local competitor) raised the prices, so we felt we had room to raise ours."

Timmies for the win.

But does Timmies still have the honey cruller?  The don't have dutchies, or sugar twists any more!
