I like it too...but the price is too high, better off with a full size truck for the same price.

Because some people don't want a full size truck. Why is that so hard to understand?

How stupid of me. Instead of my GTI I could have bought a pick up instead.

But I paid more for less passenger space, less cargo capacity, less towing capability. Plus I only got a puny engine and not a big V8. So much less.

Some people just want a truck for occasional trips to Home Depot, to do some work around the cottage, pull a small camper, etc. Its also easier to park and navigate in the city and can probably fit in a standard sized garage.

Buy a nicely equipped double cab Tacoma for $39k :) OR a base for $36k....

$42k is the record the entry level price, base model, lacking features for the Ridgeline. $42,705 to be precise. The Honda is at least $5-7k overpriced.

The Honda is not a work truck.  It's an "urban truck" so it fits what most people with trucks use them for anyway - going to Costco.  The difference is the Honda is, well, a Honda.  Super reliable, easy to live with, and it drives like a car.

It's almost a segment of one.  Toyota doesn't make a direct competitor.  Toyota's truck are body on frame affairs that aren't SUVs with a bed.

I think it's richly priced, but it's a great product.

My dad just bought a Ridgeline Touring to replace the Pilot he sold to me....it’s great for his purposes, and drives so much nicer than a full size truck.  It’s the right tool for the job, if a bit pricey....not a concern for him.

exactly...if price isn't much of a concern, it's a great vehicle and does a lot of things well...if you really want a "Car/SUV" 90% of the time, but still find a truck handy, this is perfect.

Did anyone comment yet that you can get a full size truck for less?   :rofl2:
