Confirmed at my son's appointment at the diabetes clinic at cheo yesterday...my 12 year old is now officially the exact same height as me.  5'11"!!!  :o

He's grown nearly an inch just since his last appointment in April.  Most parents wait for a growth spurt...we're waiting for it to stop!
LOL.  Is he any good at basketball?

Wholly crap!! My 14yr old is about that tall now, my soon to be 12yr old is probably only 5'5" right now.

Three years ago today, my Dad passed away.  As some of you may know, I brewed a California Steam Ale style of beer called "Gammie" after he passed away in memory of him.  Fast forward to today, and certainly not by design, but the very first batch of beer kegged in the new brewery was today, and it was the "Gammie".  Stupid me, but it never really dawned on me until after I was done kegging.  Needless to say I got emotional pretty quick.  My Mom said it was a "sign"..........who knows......but a little ironic nonetheless.

Sad, but awesome at the same time. I've been ignoring the fact that my own father is nearing 80 and has some health issues. My FIL is in his mid 80s and has a long list of problems so I keep figuring my Dad is better off, so as long as my FIL is still here, my Dad is fine.

No logic in that but what the hell.

You are honouring your Dad by being an awesome human being.  I can't imagine him being anything but proud of you.

It does seem fitting somehow that your first in the new brewery would be that. It will be two years next Tuesday that my dad passed. Hard to believe how fast time moves on.

You would think they would try it with a dummy and the same book at least once before trying it.   But then, darwin.

If it was a .22 cal maybe it would have worked better.

Probably...although I've seen a .22 go through the 2x4 frame of a target stand so I sure wouldn't try it.

^^^. This. 22 isn't a joke. I'm not sure what to make of this. Stupidity or some sort of foul play that isn't obvious. Nuts.

This is what happens when you rely on movies for people to get educated about dangerous things. And that firearm they were using?  Desert Eagle?  WTF?

Yep, that's doubly  crazy. Those things are hand cannons. The muzzle energy is more than double that of an average .357 magnum round.

For the longest time, .22 was the number 1 caliber for murder in the US. It likely still is.

Why, can't you get that at home? [emoji1]
I'm getting tired of making my own coffee.
