You must have a gas stove.  On my electric stove it takes at least 5 min just for the stupid thing to heat up.

Toast is 3:20 seconds and eggs are no more than 2:00. I put the toast down and light the stove. Cooking with gas is great  :)

Nothing to add here other than to comment on how the line for the drive through of the Tims I pass on the way to work in the morning spills out and blocks the road. I drive by and shake my head in disgust. It must take 15mintues to get through that line. All for some $hitty coffee.

x1000 What a waste of fakin time!!

I'm going to time my eggs next time I do it, because typically I make 4 eggs and it is usually 30 min from start to finish, then 5 min to eat them.

Using the smaller burner?  Maybe consider getting one with the rapid heat element?  I also cheat a little bit, and throw a lid on my pan for 1 min, cooks the eggs faster.  I have to cook with electric.  I haven't timed it, but confident I could do 4 in less than 7 min.

that sounds like a long time.

i turn the burner on, grab eggs out of the fridge, grab milk, and it's ready for cooking.

your pan might be too thick if it takes that long to heat up.

I hate cooking.  It's usually an hour of setup / cleanup and 5 mins eating.

I rather just eat cereal for every meal lol

I prefer soft boiled eggs.....but that takes time so I usually do a couple at a time and save them for a day in the fridge.

The best thing Tim Horton's did for me was give my RRSP a HUGE boost when it shot up $30 or so after the rumours of a takeover became fact.  I sold and put the money elsewhere.

The ironic thing about it all is that I started drinking their coffee a bit AFTER I sold.  I had avoided the stuff while owning the stock.  Go figure.  ::) :P ;D

Soft boiled in 9 minutes (approx) from cold (water, that is), be it on an electric or gas stove.  Experimentally confirmed.  Oh yeah, you need to use manly man eggs (large, extra large or jumbo).   ;D
