i like it, but if you're in this deep, it might not be much of a stretch to just get the Hellcat.

If I had this I'd average only 24L/100km!!

Speaking of which, Vman, what are you averaging with the 1LE?  :stick:  And it better not be below 14L/100km

The Germans pretty much have the muscle-sedan market cornered, so it's nice to see Dodge challenging them.  (punny!)

I agree that the price jump to the Hellcat is quite a bit, and that the Hellcat is not really a daily driver kind of car anyway.  This thing would be easy to live with and smoke most anything you came up against anyway.  I'd bet in real world driving, it's not much slower than a Hellcat despite it's over 200hp deficit thanks to it having usable power.

This would be one sweet car with a manual trans, but I doubt anyone would buy it.

That alone would have me choosing the Challenger over the Charger.

This thing is ridiculous. And I like it. Still go with the Challenger, I think.

I don't love the looks of it, but this thing is at least notable as the only 4-door variant of a V8-equipped pony car.   A manual would make it really interesting, but yes unlikely to sell well....

I still occasionally toy with the idea of a Scat Pack... my brother has a Chrysler connection that could net me a nice discount on one...

I love this thing, the Challenger does nothing for me. $64k for this or $64k for some wannabe luxo 4cyl car from the Germans....hmmm. I'll be over here working on my third set of rear tires this weekend.

Except that $64k is C43/340i/S4 money.

Which this thing will handily walk all over while sounding 1000x better and looking better.

Looking better is subjective (I'd prefer the Germans...mostly), but no doubt on sound and displacement.

Still I think Oliver was pointing out the inaccuracy of your 4 cyl comment.   It's not like this is $45k.

Yup - in a straight line anyway.

looking like "something" at least. i find those comparables mentioned are classy looking... but just nothing special. this one as an example... you could garage it and pull it out on nice sunny days it people will think you are going to a car show... those other ones are just cars... no one is ever going to think it's anything other than a nice daily driver.

regardless, looks aren't something you can argue about... everyone has their own likes and dislikes.

i get tempted by these every time a new employee program comes out... no need to speak about these not being a huge seller... so they offer some good deals to particular individuals (not everyone, to make sure the resale isn't killed) to move a few higher end units... always tempting, but just not quite enough. i'd go b5 blue... still in your face, just not quite as much.
