I think Sara Palin has ruined the name.

New F250 spy photo ::)

?

Because names don't mean anything anymore.

Does it really matter? It hasn't been used in 40 years and I doubt many people even remember it.

Yeah, I know, old man yelling at clouds ::)
Bugs me for some reason....could have called it a Courier, they used that name on trucks before.

I'll get over it.

Never heard of the Maverick Pick-Up truck.  Is this going to be a truck built with Bronco styling, kinda like the Gladiator?

It's a unibody Ford Focus pickup truck.

Oh.  But Why?  I didn't realize there was a market for these things.  Especially from a company who not too long ago said the Ranger was superfluous, and that everybody who wanted a small truck would just buy a base F-150!

There is a huge global market for these front wheel drive mini trucks. All over Mexico, Dominican, Jamaica, and South America. I think some look cool.
Lighten up Francis.....

Sure, I understand overseas.  I didn't realize there was a market for a small truck like this in North America.

Who knows? If the price is right and the pick up still has some utility to it, this will be a huge success!!

I’m honestly excited, if they throw in a 2.0 hybrid into this I’d be willing to trade my F150 for one.

I wonder if this will only be offered with AWD like the Ranger.  If they can get the base price down to $25k I think it will sell well enough, obviously not as much as the F150 but I think it will likely sell more than what the Focus did.

Not a chance it will be that cheap considering a base Bronco Sport is $32k.

Isn't a base price Ranger like $30k?

^^ Yes . I have priced them out. It is the base model though.

I would hope it is priced a little lower than that.

Rumoured pricing was just above 20,000 U.S.

$32k but that's not for a crew cab, which starts at $38k.

I see what you are saying, if the Mavrick only comes in crew can maybe it should be compared to the crew cab Ranger.  In that case it'll likely be closer to the $30k mark.

Plus the US will likely get a much more basic model that is 2wd, so $20k USD might make sense.

But the Escape and Transit Connect start at $27k...I can see the base FWD starting at around that price range or below given trucks tend to be cheaper than their SUV counterpart...

The crew cab will likely land somewhere between - low $30s? (All CAD)

Ford can’t be dumb and price this like a Ridgeline - if that’s what they plan this will crash and burn in the market, just like the Ridge.

Somebody leaked the Maverick already:

Yeah, I drove my little Mazda into the ground. Cheap to buy, easy to park, easy to fit in a garage, good on fuel and yet would haul all kinds of stuff if needed
