Not too bad against the $51,995 USDI never use the US price to calculate Canadian prices, we almost always get it cheaper and sometimes substantially so.

I guess it depends on how you define it. If in your mind the CTR & the Integra Type S both compete with the Golf R, then yes I could see why you might pick the Golf R, but if you are comparing it to the premium hot hatches/compact performance vehicles (BMW M240, Merc A/B class AMG, Audi S3) you might have a different outlook on value.

So much overlap today with car options that it may be hard to define. I think this pricing is good compared to the Type R and to what the US is paying. Until weird dealer mark ups - $5K in useless options added.
...but...but...How can you not need metal pedal protection film? For only $594.47?

Do you need AWD? Do you need an auto? Do you need more room?In the dry, the Type R cooks all comers but if you want some security in snow, then maybe an AWD ride would be best. Or maybe a winter beater is even better. But I do think that an M240 and S3 are quite a bit more cash loaded up so there is the obvious fiscal issue as well.

Also, I keep forgetting about the Corolla GR existing.
