I was just looking at it on the Caddy site, definitely a value leader.  The one I priced out was $68k and change, that a lot of performance for the cash.  But the question is, is it a sports car?

Not a sports car,  but a nice one nonetheless.
Okay, so are there any 4 door sports cars on the market?  Alfa, Porsche, maybe that Aston 4 door sedan?

Nissan Maxima!  :P

I like the CT5-V Blackwing with a manual. Just wish they didn't name that engine Blackwing and naming would make much more sense.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

Maybe they should slap a Civic back end on it if it’s too outlandish for you.

Well, to me it like a extreme bugled bangle butt, the BMW's, were sort of tasteful. this, I'm not sure. hey, you maybe be right, give this car, more of Civic back end. Cadillac buyers, tend to be silver hair conservatives types.  ;)

That back end is very unfortunate. Is that to punish driver's of lessor cars by making them look at it?

A dark colour might mask some of the unfortunately folds and creases I guess.

Its impressive as heck but that butt  :-X

Honestly, I think it's the colour and contrast with the carbon fibre options, if you chose maybe black and not option the expensive carbon option, it would look better, much more like a regular on.

I suspect these will be market up significantly.

Why do you say that?

Why do you say that?

Demand exceeding supply.  Right now C8 Corvettes are commanding up to $25k over MSRP
So you expect this sedan to get the same type of demand as the new Vette?  I mean maybe, but I would be shocked if that is the case.  The ATS-V did not sell in huge numbers and I would expect this to do a bit better but not to the point that it will be marked up past the initial demand subsides.

From what I have read the CT4-V Blackwing is the track weapon and the CT5-V Blackwing is the super sedan.  Much like the M3 is a better track day car th a the M5.  But being priced at $88k CAD and offering a manual, it's awfully tempting.  Also even though it has something like 170 more HP th a the CT4 it's only like 0.2 seconds quicker to 60.  There is just so much grip that you can get from a RWD vehicle.

Yeah but this ain't a Corvette. This is basically an evolution of the ATS-V which was by all accounts fantastic but was not exactly a hot seller. Not sure why this one would be much different.

"Before you accuse us of getting carried away..."

I accuse them of getting carried away.
That's nothing, you should read the review they gave for the new VW Golf R, they basically said it is a Porsche 718 with a back seat and a hatch.
