2021 Nissan 400Z
« on: May 06, 2020, 05:06:50 pm »
Nissan has trademarked "400Z" for the replacement for the 370Z

It's supposed to get the TT from the Q60 Red Sport with 400+HP.  And a Nismo version with nearly 500hp.

Supposed to have substantially upgraded looks.  Car is supposed to have some retro design cues to it.

Would be sweet if it looked like this render!

If it happens at all it will be pretty awesome.  They already have the components in terms of platform and motor.

Yea...the Q60 never came with a manual....I'd be surprised if this didn't come with a manual....but also not surprised if it didn't!   ;D

They had built a 370Z with that combo for SEMA.

I just hope they price it to compete with the Mustang GT and not the Toyota Supra.  Oh and a manual is a must.

Interesting to see what they use for a manual. The 6spd out of the 350Z/370Z blows up pretty good with boosted Zs from what I understand.

The ones from the 370Z  (CD08/09 IIRC) are stouter.  Several companies use them in tranny swaps.

Who came up with that abomination?  I hope it looks nothing like it.

I hope they would still keep a 'base' car for tuners.  It is pretty great that you can still get a 370 for around $30K (and I be less without a lot of negotiating).  That car is a riot to drive for the price.

Having said that, I think you will see Supra pricing for the top model (400 hp) with a lower powered model (i.e. 300 hp) at around $40K.  These engines already exist so no news there.

Yeah, I seriously doubt they new one will be anywhere close to the current $30k price. That model basically exists to keep the Z slightly relevant and to compete with the Toyobaru twins.

Gonna be a wannabe "sport" CUV. EclipseCross competitor. That is my prediction.

the same way i have 567 smites??...or your 247 smites??

i think they should either eliminate the applaud/smite function, or at least show you the post in which they were applied (and perhaps who did it)...other sites i went to previously did that, so you at least knew what you said either received praise or got smacked for and who did it.
When you've lost the argument, admit defeat and hit the smite button.

Who gives a :censor: about your applauds and smites. PS I just smited you  ;D
you're not the only one, and that's my point...it's useless...i think they should remove it (or revise it to make it meaningful).

Most other sites do work this way. Not a lot of them have a downvote option, though.

Welp, I know most of my smites are from already so...

I find it funny, too.  I wonder how many smites he's gotten just for complaining about smites, lol.

i'm not offended by them, it just bothers me as it's a useless function.

for example, for others, i basically look like NormT...so if someone asks a question about something, and NormT and i post a reply, we'll both be taken with the same amount of consideration.

the purpose of "smite" makes sense if someone says "You bought a Honda Passport?  What a piece of garbage"...yea, smite that :censor:...instead, you post something relatively benign, and just because someone disagrees with you, you get smited for it (or in this case, just because, no real reason other than the fact i brought it up)...that doesn't seem like what it was intended for.

i'm just going by how it was used on other sites...i found it a much better feature...you can see when people "applaud" you (and who did it), so you know exactly which post gave you them, and the same went for "smites"...so if someone is new, and says "Your new car is :censor:" in a Show & Shine, and they get smited for it, they might realize you aren't supposed to :censor: on people's new cars in there.
