Hi guys,

This feedback has been passed along, and much of it is being worked on.
It's unfortunate, but when a site is as big, complex and active as autoTRADER.ca is, fixes aren't as easy as we'd all hope.

There are a lot of features and changes being made to the site right now that I genuinely believe will make it a lot better for all of you, but there have been teething problems making this transition.

I also know that we have just made a big investment in this area of the business, in a way that will make this site as robust as it should be.

Believe me, we all share your frustration. I'm confident these things will be remedied soon.

But why release it half baked?

Should have left the old version up..and replace when tested properly.

At first glance it seems very simple. You're right. There are many moving parts, and all I can tell you, because it's all I know, is that money has been invested recently to make sure this current situation is a: fixed, and b: not repeated.

What makes this frustrating is that even if the new version offers any improvements – and I'm not sure that it does – they are overshadowed by the glaring faults that it has introduced.

They probably spent their development budget on TV ads.  ;D

They have TV ads?  ???

Yep, several of them over the last year or two.  Here is a collection on youtube.  You might have seen them but simply have forgotten:

What is so big and complicated about Autotrader?

Every web app like this is more complicated than you would initially think.

Well time for a little positive feedback.  Recently Autotrader has been remembering where I live.  I no longer have to put the postal code.  Also I don't have to put 100km every time, it doesn't default to National.  Yippie.

I have a problem with it lately. When I click to enlarge a picture  it expands but only shows half the picture. It won't let you scroll down to see the rest of it. ???

The Canadian Autotrader has always sucked (for decades).  Can't they just copy the US version.
