I'm a Mopar-slappie, so I really enjoyed this video.  (43 min)

Thorough Slant-six build by Powernation, tested on the dyno normally-aspirated, then turbo'd, with very good results.

Less HP than my stock (BPU) Supra. And the 225 has 20 percent more displacement.

I don't see the point of this.

And I'm guessing this isn't cheap either.

Sounds decent though!
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Have they ever think to build a V12 combining (2) of their slant 6?  ::)  :run:

Because it's a challenge and not everyone has one.  Two-valve per cylinder heads that don't flow much air.  Cleaning up the ports is about all you can do with them.  One hp per cubic inch, normally-aspirated, and 300 hp with 5 lbs of boost are good numbers, imho.

I'd rather rock a Dart/Duster with this powertrain than a Supra any day.

The Dart/Duster with the Supra powertrain would be about perfect!  Maintain the Duster/Dart 6 banger vibe but with some real power from the 2JZ.

I don't think it was a challenge so much as a thought experiment. It appears they had a healthy budget to do the things they did. Throw enough money at something and good things usually happen. A challenge would be doing something with a limited budget.

But as a thought experiment it's worth doing (I guess) for the sole purpose of having fun for curiosity sake. You'd probably like Engine Masters. They do some stuff like this frequently. Stuff that doesn't have any real application...but more of a "I wonder what would happen if we..." type of thing.

It's pretty interesting and fun.

Also...I thought I linked this very build to you in another thread after I saw it on TV. Or was that another one?
