Topic: Refinished Rims - Good as Factory?

If I have aluminum rims refinished, will they stand up over the long term as good as factory finished rims?  Will I be able to tell they have been refinished or will they look like they did when they came from the factory?

I had a bent rim fixed back in the 90's off a Talon. The work done was such that I couldn't tell it had been repaired. I don't know about long term use though as I only kept the vehicle a couple of years after the rim was bent. No issues.
