Ecoboost.....not a fan. Nicer truck all around, deserved a real engine.
:iagree:  ;D

Should have put the voodoo in

I don't even know about that...a 5L with a set of free flowing heads, a lumpier cam and a few intake manifold mods should be able to get ya 450-500hp no problem. I like the Voodoo, but in a Mustang, not a truck.

lol. I know. You're right.

I would happily take the exhaust note of it
Lighten up Francis.....

I see a handful of Golf TDIs that are of interest to me. A few have the xenons and manual gearbox too.

At the end of the day, I'd love the fuel savings (both consumption and per-litre cost) and "new car" and manual gearbox, but there's so many things I like about my 325i (and no car payment), I can't see myself letting go of the 3er.

I've looked at this one a couple of times today. I'm not crazy about the exterior colour, but I'm a fan of those wheels and I'm digging the interior combo...

Very nice. Love the dark blue/brown combo.

The sides bolsters of the seats are high, that would be very painful for me

Those don't seem very high to me. They're certainly on the sporty side but look milder than the GTI's bolsters.

I'd like one of these sent to my driveway please.

But my god does that front plate look stupid.  How long could one get away without it before getting pulled by the popo?
If When that happens, the good officer would probably also toss a few speeding tickets through the window - 'cause it would be like when your dad would cuff you in the head just because... he knew you either did or will do something bad, he just didn't see it this time...  :P

I blame designers for this screw up about plates , over 75 % of place need front plates , they should design the front end to look good with a plate

I know the government in Alberta did it to save money (they increased the price of registrations and decreased costs by giving you one plate) but from a practical standpoint, it makes sense.  Law enforcement would cry long and hard if they really thought we needed a front plate.

One thing we can do next is get rid of the stupid plate stickers.  Cops have computers now and they don't need to look at some little sticker on your plate to know if your registration is up to date.

Yeah, some dick of a cop gave my buddy a ticket for not having his sticker on, it was stolen and he had the current registration. I would be totally for getting rid of the stickers.

+1 What's wrong with Ontario ?  :P

Italy has a front plate, except it's like Switzerland where the front is not full-sized. So it doesn't look like some wart like it does with Ontario.

I really like the Giulia, it's what I'd get if I wanted a mid-size sedan.

In NB I have to pay $70 extra for the priveledge of using just a rear plate for my S2000 and it's only good from April to the end of October.

In NS they only require the one rear plate but I'm always surprised at the amount of NS vehicles I see with a decorative plate on the front.  I saw a Boxster a while back with NS plates that had a plate with the flag of NS on it that just ruined the look of the front end.   :P

That's a total design disaster.  How the heck is one of those long Euro plates supposed to fit on there?

Not very well...

Plates are not part of the design consideration for Alfa, obviously. They feel they should only be on the back of the car...rightly so IMO.

Alfa designs since the late 90s have always had the problem - the front is so styled and curved that there is nowhere to put a plate. See the following when an Alfa does not use the small front plate:

Not a design disaster, a design decision. Made for Italy, and the rest of the world should get in line with their design philosophy - small/no front plate, ruins the design of the car.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

If a small plate ruins the entire design...what's that say about the design?

In a couple of those pics, the plate is the least of the worries...
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Wasn't the Giulia designed to take on the world, and not just be sold in Italy?  Alfa's not going to be able to convince every jurisdiction to change or eliminate front plates...
