Yeah, book time is 10-12 on these. We actually just did an A5 clutch replacement last week, 6-7 hours if nothing's seized.

Nothing should be seized....car wasn't winter driven for some reason (prior to us).

I believe you because you're you, but "nothing should be seized" is something every customer says...  ;D

We usually aim to under promise and over-deliver in this regard. I got burned by a few dollars in my earlier days by over-promising and then finding out things were rusty, adding more time than required to the job.
I still think it's weird someone buys AWD and doesn't winter drive.

Was the reason we bought that one...for winter use.

What, like Adi buys RWD and doesn't even Summer drive?  :rofl2: [emoji14]

Well played! I've actually been commuting to work and back in the 964 every day... when it's not raining  :)
You should see how dirty my AMG is right now! It's been outside since Saturday & covered in dust & grime. Took it to golf the last few rounds still anyway.

Have the A5 back. Did a few extra "while you're in there" items.

Still shocked by how much the clutch/flywheel combo weighs given the size.

Realistically still a $3,000+ job even if you're going to an Indy.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

We have some (good) changes in life and we're considering switching up the fleet.

Am having a hard time determining value of IQs A5.  I looked online yesterday and not a single V6+ manual  A5 for sale...all 2.0Ts

Her car has 165k, clutch has been done (big ticket item! ) both front axles done. For appearance it has 19" $5 wheels and the Euro grill.

Any idea what it's worth??

Clutch and axles at 165k kms. Stay away from FGC for awhile?

Pretty high asking prices for some of these on Autotrader and like you said no V6 mind you V6+MT.

Few grand over what you would sell the car for and go from there? This is a very rare combo from what I can see, so who knows....

Is there a prescribed life expectancy for a clutch? I think it highly depends on the usage.

There is one somewhat local here that’s been for sale for awhile (couple months).  Similar mileage, but I’m not sure if this is a good representation of the price you can get there.  PEI is a rather isolated car market and the demand for these are likely lower.

Put it at $15K and see if it sells. How much of a rush are you in?

I'd look at what manual S5s are going for and price it a few grand lower than those.

Not sure..yet.

We're at the "banging around ideas" stage.

Is it a case of impending FGC doom or just boredom?

Exactly halfway between manual 2.0Ts and manual S5s.

Nice cars, these, if they're maintained. Color combo? Records?
