it looks nice, but i'm not sure what the market is for something like this...as well, it looks like they've ditched the nicely integrated screen of the previous model and used the "tacked on" style in the new one...too bad.

it certainly can't sell much worse than it already does in Canada.

They really missed the mark outside...kinda looks like a gussied up Jetta, nothing exciting or interesting here. Interior looks ok. Genesis certainly is the better looking car in and out.

I think the tail lights look like a Fiat 500X

at least this time is doesn't look so much like a top end Optima or Cadenza from the front and rear like it did before.

Looks damned impressive to me, inside and out.  Is it G80-sized, or more G90?

the wheelbase is the only figure I've come across so far on this new K900, so here is a comparison to get an idea of the size of this model: (2.3" longer than the previous model)

K900 - 122.2"
MB S560 SWB - 119.3"
MB S560 LWB - 124.4"

looks like a car that was designed really well, with all the top of the line features and futuristic/modern stuff... but in 1998.

just doesn't win me over, but i'm sure it is a nice machine.

Why would somebody buy this over a Genesis? Serious question.

Maybe if you don't have a local Genesis dealer but have a local Kia dealer.

Depends.  Is it offering, say, similar spaciousness and luxury as a G90 at a more attractive price?  Maybe.  Would somebody buy this over a Lincoln Continental? Quite possibly.

I can't provide any meaningful comment knowing almost nothing about the vehicle's attributes, but if it makes the case on merit - like the Stinger GT - I expect it will find a modest amount of buyers.

My thought too.  The G80/90 will be low volume, so what's the point of this K-dog?
Maybe Patrick can enlighten

checked it's between the G80 and the G90 for wheelbase length
G80 - 118.5"
G90 - 124.4"

I agree that the exterior styling is decidedly old school, but I actually quite dig it.  Then again I'm the type of person that gazes longingly when boxy, upright LS430 goes wafting by.

I certainly don't see much Schreyer in the lines, though.

The pricing/promotion will be key for this one.

"The K900 has evolved into a truly sophisticated driving machine powered by a 3.3-liter twin turbo V6, the same engine found in the automaker’s highly acclaimed Stinger fastback sport sedan.  This world-class engine outputs 365 horsepower17 and 376 pound-feet of torque and was recently named to Ward’s 10 Best Engines list for its exceptional responsiveness and refinement."

well that changes things...that's a sweet engine...that said, i don't know how many people are going to buy a $60k luxury Kia...personally, i don't care about the badge, so perhaps in a few years when i'm in the market, i'll get a smoking deal on a used one of these (if you can find them, i don't think i've ever seen a K900 on the road at all).
