The side profile and rear design is fantasic.

That front tho....  Admittedly the grill on the white car is way better.

Camry and Avalon this is based off of are FWD too with no AWD option.   No rear heated back seat on any 2019 Lexus ES which I thought was short sighted.

I actually don't mind this grille; guess it works better with some colours than the others. Speaking of which, this metallic olive green (?) is a nice match to the hybrid powertrain under the hood. Alex on autos first drive of the 300h:

^^^  Yup.  Lots of 70+ old folks around here with this car, they love it.  My Dad saw it and loved the look.   "A super comfortable car that doesn't look like an 80s Buick."  It's got a lot of presence in person.  I'm seeing a few Avalons as well, but I like the ES look better.

It's got a grill not much smaller that the stupid ones they used to slap on cars in the "Age of Gorp". I suspect they'll age just as gracefully.
