Getting an email from the Public Affairs Program Manager in our Embassy in Berlin informing me that he is coming to Ottawa next week and wants to talk to me about a position there with a start date of late summer 2019.

Berlin, cool!!

It would be awesome.  I have tonne of friends in Berlin, including my best buddy from Belgrade who moved there a few months before I returned.  Also close to Dusseldorf where my dear friend Nora lives, as well as Vienna, and of course Sarajevo and Belgrade where I also have tonnes of friends and former colleagues.  I'm trying not to get too excited and carried away.  I also applied for a 2018 position in Budapest and a 2019 one in Bucharest -- Fob would certainly have a few things to say if I got that one!
I'd rather be car-poor than house-poor...

I'm lucky in that I live in a rural area where we can buy produce, meat, poultry, eggs, etc from roadside stands.  My normal egg place didn't have any eggs, so I went to another place down the road.

Found this note inside...nice little touch!

How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Being told that the prognosis for the cardiac ablation I had yesterday is quite good, as well as being off work until Monday.

Doing the winter tire swap by myself for the first time, with just the scissor jack from the trunk.
The tire pressure seems weird, it looked way too low especially at the fronts, so I brought it up to 40psi although the Civic's recommended pressure is 32psi.  Then it felt too hard so I brought it back down to 35psi.

Put it at manufacturer recommended pressure.  Especially in the winter...you want it softer...not harder.

It really depends what she's talking about though....

That's what I thought.

When I first put them on, I was hearing tires being squeezed even under light braking at a stop sign.  I'll check them after work and bring them down to 32psi.

Yeah, from out I gather this procedure has been a game changer with significantly improved outcomes.

Scoring the best parking spot in the Costco lot.
It's a good night.   ;D

^^I'm usually the opposite.  I try and park as far away as reasonably possible.  Also, our Costco has no parking that close to begin with.

I like how you backed in so you can GTFO ASAP!   ;D

Did you spend 10 minutes blocking the lane so you could back in?  People around here back in, and go back and forth a hundred friggin' times to get in.  FML, hate them.

Meh, you'd probably complain if the did a shabby parking job without backing in/out.

Miserable f*ck.    :rofl2:

And what's 10 minutes to you?  It's not like you have a job or anything... :stick:

I'd be happy to answer that one for you.   ;D

Nope - i got backin' up skills.  Pull up just past it, into R and crank 'er in.
I always back into spots like that, and back up daily into spots that are pretty tight in parking garage at work.
So i get lots of practice.
