I'd be looking at a 2015  +   Challenger 392 8 speed auto.  It's a big car/ 2 door Charger.  Luxo inside.  Forget the fancy Toyotas.  :D

Challenger? So not luxury. M is a neat option for sure.
Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.

Whomever it was above that said just get out and drive these things is right.

Definitely add the Lexus GS to the list.  Good comparison between that and my car right here:

http://www.autotrader.ca/expert/20150707/comparison-test-2015-hyundai-genesis-38-vs-2015-lexus-gs-350/

And the fully loaded V8 version of my car can be had for under $30k used.  It is ridiculously nice for that kind of money.  I'd love for you just to drive one and share your thoughts.  Not as visceral as it's predecessor R Spec, but more than a level or two up in polish and refinement.

I still kind of want an R Spec to be perfectly honest.

How about...a Jaaaag?

https://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/winnipeg/2012-jaguar-xf-xfr-w-navigation-backup-cam-winter-summer-tire/1312674473?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true
2012 Jaguar XF XFR w/ Navigation/Backup Cam/Winter + Summer Tire $29,993.00

The price has gone from $33ish to under $30 (barely) in the last couple of weeks.  I wonder if I should haggle an $11ziess out of my Fusion in trade and give them $15 to boot... ;D
You only live once, right?  510 horsies, for less than the price of a 2-3 yr old Mustang?  Betcha it's fast.

I've been thinking about this car for weeks now...but I'm no high earner...so I just keep going back to see how low it will go.  I mean really, who's gonna buy this?  I would, but it would have to be at my terms...so, never.  :'(

I had an XFR as a loaner one time, it was an incredible drive, and I was shocked at how much smaller it felt driving than it actually is

That's a very nice looking car. I wonder how they are reliability wise.

The Jag is a really interesting thought.  Reliability won't be solid, but probably not that bad.

For $10k, that M45x sounds like a helluva good deal...no?

Agreed.  It is time that I try a Genesis so that I can actually form an informed view.

AP. What are you trying to get out of this ultimately?

That is the key question.  More than anything, I think I just want to try own something different for a while.  Over the last 10 years I have had in my garage a Mustang GT, 342 stroker Mustang LX, Chrysler 300 Hemi, Toyota Corolla, Cadillac DTS and three different F150s.

I seem to buy - sell regularly, I guess.  But I always have an exit strategy so that the hobby does not cost very much.  That is key to me.

Agree with others that it is not exactly luxury but I also think it remains a plausible pick for me.  Not a corner carver but it would combine quiet highway travel with some bruiser credentials.  Plus, even years after it was released, I still think it looks amazing.  To my eye, it is one of the most distinctive designs on the market.

But the 392s are hard to find at a value price (even used).  And these beasts are not cheap.  MSRP is around $60k.

AP is a tall guy from what i remember reading? So an ISF might be tight... GS would be nice tho!

6'2".  But that has not been much of an impediment for me with cars other than maybe the Miata which I find to be too small (and - gasp - am not attracted to anyways).

Could be time to try a Tesla model s , Smart Electric writes it is a good car  ;D

$86,900 was the base price. I was gonna guess $90k.

The Jag is either a heck of a deal...or the worst decision ever.  It even comes with separate winter / summer rims / tires - a rarity for dealer purchased used cars.  A lot of content for the money.

Now about that Winnipeg location...

You buy it.  I'll drive it to you.

The Jaguar was basically competing with the E63 and M5 at the time. It was a bit slower than they were but it was also quite a bit cheaper.

Hey!  My find!  But...everyone needs a co-driver, I'd be happy to share the experience.  ;D  Wink and who knows who else might want to come with too.  Can it seat 5 comfortably?  An extra 1000-1500 lbs can't hurt slow it, right?

Looking at the back seat.... um.... no facking way - not particularly spacious for 4 judging by the picks.  Shotgun or bust.

The rear is tight, as is the trunk in the Jag XF.  My FIL loved his, but we all hated riding in the back.  Plush and nice, but tight legroom.
