Imagine if instead, we all just chipped in a few dollars.  Spread among the entire population, the cost would be tiny.  We could each pay a small amount and we could probably even help a LOT of people - supply them with housing and some help to get on their feet, or more help if they were disabled, etc.

Dr does not like doing more than one joint at a time
Since the risk of  complication goes from 1% to 20% if you do two at the same time
Already had one joint replaced

Tomorrow I'm taking my 13-year old niece out for birthday lunch with one of her friends and then shopping - I told her to pick out anything she wants for $50 or so.  I have no idea what to get her, and didn't want to do the gift card thing.

My doc has already said I'll be a "candidate for a knee replacement" in 5-10 years.  :(
