Yes that was the total odometer showing when it was delivered at my garage step...

Thanks all.  It will be a little while before I start enjoying the Suzuki with all that snow on the ground.  I just ended my snowmobile season today, 5635 km!  Not sure I will beat this with the bike this summer.

Now more than 2000 km on the Burgman.  First maintenance scheduled at 1000 km was done at 1610 (dealer freebee I had negotiated).  Calculated mileage is in the low 4's with a best of 3.96l/100 Km all with regular gas.  Curiously (and contrary to most vehicles...), the on-board computer is pessimistic by a good 0.5l/100 km.  Possible range is 300 km if you're willing to ride with the low fuel light a bit.  Even so, fuel capacity is 15 liters and I have yet to put more than 12.5 liters in it.

The bike is very manoevrable in town while being quite stable on the highway too.  It leans easily and is quite fun in the curvy stuff.  Passing power is ample on secondary roads and the engine turns a lazy 3700 RPM at 100 and 4500 at 120 (indicated because the speedo is likely at least 5 too fast).  I love the underseat and under dash storage  for my helmet, gloves, water bottle and such when going to a restaurant for example.

The windshield is quite noisy and turbulent at speed and larger riders may wish for more protection at shoulder level and top of the helmet if you adjust it (electrically) to see just above it.  The seat and riding position are comfortable and it's nice to be able to move your feet forward and back.

Don't get a maxi-scooter if you're looking for maximum thrills and a visceral experience but as a motorcycle, it is downright competent, agile, economical and even fun.

:censor:..how did I miss this?  Congrats!  I loved my Burgman 400.  Now that I've switched back to a bike, I'm missing the practicality, comfort and wind protection.  At some point, I'll be back on a scooter IMO.  100% I'll be buying the new Honda ADV-X  adventure scooter if it comes to Canada.

BTW...get a Givi or a Puig screen and it should fix things nicely.

How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Thanks.  Possibly at some point, even an aftermarket exhaust if available, lighter and with a little throatier sound...

Came upon 2 Burgman 400 last week right in my little town.  a 2004 and a 07.  The sound they make is closer to a riding mower than motorcycle.  Althouth they might be highway capable, I'm glad I went for the 650 because of my location and being on rural roads and highway for most of my riding.

Definitely hiway capable.  I had mine on the 401 many times.  Needed an upgraded windshield though!
