Was listening to Depeche Mode's greatest hit on the way to work., particularly the track  "In Your Room".  Great tune!

I've been catching up on some Blue-eyed Soul.

Anything by Green Day and Blue Rodeo or Jim Cuddy., or Pink Floyd.  Feist is good, too.  So is Stan Rogers.  And Great Big Sea.  I kinda don't care about the genre.  My ear knows what it likes.   ;D

I like some rap.  I prefer The Roots.  It's like Jazz and Rap fusion, so to my ears it's quite tolerable.  They tour with very talented Jass musicians.  Their vocal turntablist "Scratch"..the guy does the record scratching/mixing with his voice is truly exceptional.

I know rap is not for everyone...but give this a listen to and tell me these guys aren't talented.  Also pay attention to the sounds the guy in the red (Scratch) makes..with his mouth.  Amazing stuff.

I just watched The Seekers 1968 Farewell Concert for the umpteenth time. Judith Durham's voice is beyond incredible, it's magical, clear as crystal, powerful way beyond her petite size, and under absolute control at all times. She was and is a truly astonishing talent. Catch 'We Shall Not Be Moved' at 12:22 into the video.
