Nice and congrats! What's the monthly nut on this?
I love it when a plan comes together.

Lots of comments on the color. It really is great. Mini has used various different shades for its British Racing Green. I believe this one debuted in 2019 with the 60th anniversary model. It's brighter and more vibrant than the British Racing Green I had on my Clubman.

We're both picky about colours and we wanted the right combination in terms of roof/mirrors, wheels, and whether or not it had the optional piano black trim in place of chrome. We both think that the green + white roof/mirrors/stripes + silver wheels is excellent. My wife also likes black on black on black on black, which I'm not as big of a fan of.

There was also a Zesty Yellow one available, but it was in St. John's which makes things logistically much more difficult (time and expense) and she had never seen the color in person so she was hesitant. This is the same color as what BMW offers on some M models but calls Sao Paulo Yellow. My wife generally hates yellow but this has a bit of a green hint to it. Personally I really like it on the M3. Of course as soon as we walked into the showroom yesterday they had a Zesty Yellow convertible front and centre and she loved it.

Too much.  ;D $590 + tax.

But our friend is paying $530 + tax for her 2022 base so I feel pretty good about this being only $60 more, haha.

I do really like that yellow, both on the Mini and the BMW M models.  It would have been the choice I would take on that M3/4 as it was a no cost option and one of their more fun colors.

Considering how little extra it costs for your loaded up Cooper S I'd say you did pretty darn good.  I'll be keeping an eye out for it around town.

Is there no Mini dealer East of Montreal? What happens when something needs attention?

Moncton and Halifax have dealerships. I'm assuming he went to Montreal because they had a trim/colour combo he wanted.

I love the colour too. I've always had a soft spot for Mini's.

My google search failed me. Perhaps they are still part of a BMW dealership?

Yes, in both Halifax and Moncton the Mini dealer is attached to the BMW dealer.

I realized that when it comes to drivetrains our cars are just about as diverse as you can get:

2.0 litre four cylinder turbo, FWD
3.0 litre six cylinder naturally aspirated, AWD
4.0 litre V8 supercharged, RWD

Kind of cool.  8)

Not to mention the manuals.  Good on you.  Now you just need a 5.0 V10 and a 6.0 V12.

Nice! Ours are all naturally aspirated, but still 3 different configurations.

2.5 litre inline 4, FWD
3.5 litre V6, AWD
5.4 litre V8, RWD

I think the best part of that is each individual cylinder has the same displacement across all your engines.  You're literally just adding cylinders.  It's very satisfying.

There is a physics reason for that... About 650CC is about max size displacement for most engines. Most much nicer around 500CC mark.

Love this spec! Had a Mini JCW as a rental in Germany last fall, came away quite impressed at how well it balances the go-kart feel with daily usability.

The go kart feel is the best. Just took it to for a quick trip to the grocery store and even that was fun.

A couple of interior pics.

The optional leather seats. A bit tough to see but the Union Jack pattern on the headrests is neat:

Scored a set of 16" OEM "Victory Spoke" wheels with Blizzak WS90s on them for $500. The tires only have 3000 km on them. They were in Moncton so I had a friend who lives there pick them up for me.
