2006 Hyundai Elantra 4 door SE sedan -  MRSP Car+freight/pdi+AC Tax+TireTax = $22170    -  I paid $21050  before taxes.

Interesting...  Last summer one of the Hyundai dealers offered me an Elantra5 with air and auto for the same price on the road as an Accent5 with air and auto ($0 down, $324/month over 60 months @ 0%, plus there was a $500.00 grad rebate...)
I'd rather be car-poor than house-poor...

ugh, it's been a while but almost exactly one year ago we bought our Montana SV6 for $29, 850. The MSRP was $35.5. We went ahead and leased it for 4 years. I have no clue what the leasing rate is but it seemd like a heck of a deal at the time...

Bought from Donnelly on Bank in Ottawa. The only car I've ever left the dealer sticker on.

2005 Impreza 2.5RS

$22,995 MSRP + $970 spoiler + $900 protection package + $1295 PDI + $250 admin fee = $26,410 before all taxes and 2.8% financing for entire amount.

Had a 1994 Pontiac Firefly sedan worth $500 (best case scenario, which my car wasn't) in black book as trade-in.

Paid $24,647 before taxes and 2.8% financing for entire amount.

That would be a good deal.  I got $0 down at the same financing etc.  Only was just over $300 over invoice and I was happy with that.  Plus the fact not many are in the west coast right now I guess.  I had to choose between midnight blue or candy apple red as my only color choices in Vancouver.

Here's my info as of Aug 09, 2006 (corrected):

2006 Honda Accord EX-L Auto, bronze gray.
$30,700 MSRP + $1310 freight & PDE  + $100 a/c tax + 75 fuel tax= $32,185 (before sales taxes)

I paid $28092.19 + $1310 freight & PDE  + $100 a/c tax + 75 fuel tax = $29577.19 before sales taxes.

Anyway, the bottom line is that I paid $33718 in total

+ 36 month Honda financing at 1.9% APR

Still trying to understand - is it good deal?

$3K off an Accord? Did you also get the gas allowance of $2-3K? If so, then I'd say it's a very good deal for a great car.

I still remember buying our Accord in the summer of '01 and 5.9% was a great deal for financing from Honda, as it apparently rarely ever dropped below bank rates.

Assuming I complete my deal for the 2007 Mustang GT/CS (California Special) this coming Saturday, the deal is as follows"

MSRP of $42179 plus $1200 Freight&PDI plus $100 A/C tax = $43,479 (before sales tax).

My price is $38,242 (before sales tax).

This discount of $5,237 is under the Ford Family Pricing available to August 31/06 only.
2022 Mazda CX-5 Signature Turbo in Snowflake White Pearl

2012 Toyota Camry SE V6 in Alpine White

This is the total discount, including gas allowance of $1750 or so. So I got $1141.71 discount before taxes of 14% + $1750 after taxes =  $3,051.55 of total discount.

2006 Mazda Tribute GX 4WD 5 speed plus some dealer options:

MSRP - $29,408 + $1,310 (frt+pde) + $100 (a/c) + $20(tire) + $55(reg) = $30,893
PAID - $26,351 + $1,310 (frt+pde) + $100 (a/c)  + $20(tire) + $55(reg) = $27,836

0% financing for 60months. The dealer got me out of the last 3 months lease payments on the Sentra too.

$150.00 is what I paid for my newest car last Oct. Still running great with a 5 speed tranny and safetied and e-tested for under $300.00. Its a GM of course.  Don't use a drop of oil or even leak any as well. Very cheap on fuel with a 1.9 engine up front. I'll look at Saturn again in the future as they do build a solid car. I have put over 8000 klms on this and it dosen't owe me a cent yet.  :) ;D

every car one buys is new to them, unless they buy it, sell it, and buy it back..

I actually did that once. When my first wife and I separated, she kept the Renault 16. She traded it in where a friend worked, and I bought it back. I had it for another 2 years after that. Great car!

Are you going to set up some sort of searchable database?  If this thread gets too long, it may not be that easy to find info.

I'm putting all the info at the start of the thread in the FIRST post.  If it gets that extensive that we can set up a database that is an option, right now we have less than 10 :(
