Mach-E GT Performance!
« on: February 27, 2024, 06:45:16 pm »
There is no end to it, I'm now strongly considering a Mustang Mach-E GT Performance. Not sure if anyone has been looking recently but last week Ford dropped the price of the Mach-E GT Performance by $13,000 and with that it now qualifies for the $5,000 federal rebate plus our $2,500 provincial rebate and reduced rates. There is one unit available here in NL in grabber blue and it sure is a nice looking machine. Anyway we'll see where it ends up but I'm full on haggle mode now.

Looks good. So what’s the $$ticket with all incentives included but pre tax?
I love it when a plan comes together.

Go for it! Very pleased with my 2021 Premium AWD. 60,000 km and nothing major to report.

Price is $72,190 including transport and PDI. The incentives are after taxes, so approx $66K before taxes.

Pre tax with rebates just under $67K which seems very decent for what you get.

Up to 60,000 what sort of maintenance have you had? Seems like it would be almost nothing. Thanks

That’s not bad. BMW M340, my performance 4 door benchmark, starts at $72k.

Might be interesting to try for a couple of years.

No maintenance to speak of. 1 calipers maintenance, 2 cabin air filters that I did myself. That’s it. Had the internal charger fail but that was replaced under warranty. May have been caused by a defective charging station but Ford took care of it anyway.

Went twice to the dealers for recalls, one involving the parking brake cabling. Not bad for a totally new model in its first year of production.

They do certainly look good, and the magnetronic shocks apparently make a big difference. I'd be tempted by something like this if I was single (and I was sure Ford has a handle on the High Voltage Battery Junction Box HVBJB issue)

Would this be to replace your RS3?

It's the F-150 replacement.  This is along the shopping he's been doing for the CX-50, Subaru Outback, BMW X1, etc...

Oh right. For some reason I thought that decision had already been made, haha.

Four Mach-E's on my street, five some days depending on what the Ford dealer owner is driving that week.

Neighbour I talked to is really happy with his. He's a heavy commuter, 200km+ daily, and with the free EVSE's he has access to at work he's basically spending zero on "fuel" and savings tons vs his previous A3 TDI, whose dash was lit up like a XMas tree.

The Mach-E is right-sized and looks pretty cool, as long as you set aside the Mustang branding. I just find them expensive, but all EVs are.

$50k with less than 10,000 km? Sweet! Looks terrific in full Darth Vader!

I'm actually more amused with the lengths that Ford goes to at the Dealerships to convince people that the name 'Mustang' belongs on the back of the Mach-E.   That's an entire wall dedicated to why the Mach-E is a Mustang....  :rofl2:

I have no doubt that as far as EV's go, the Mach-E is a fine one.  But a Mustang, it is not.

Looks like they do this to all these horrid cuv things, the Mitsu Eclipse, Chevy Blazer, just ruin historic names of actual interesting vehicles.....don't even get me started on the Dodge Dart.

I think those are a bit different though, where the name is no longer in use.

I think the Mach-E is probably a fine product but the Mustang styling cues really don't do it for me at all.
