I'm selling my Cayenne GTS this spring, but it'll cost you more than $20k. I've got some interest from a friend and BIL, but they're waffling.

It's been dead reliable. Had the transfer gear replaced under warranty (10 years) a couple years ago. Everything else has been routine oil changes, spark plugs. Needs brakes and tires done.

How many KMs? What coior inside and out?

About 95,000km. Exterior colour is "Auburn" and interior leather is extended two-tone - "Cognac" and ??. The exterior colour is certainly a bit different, but it stands out nicely compared to the usual black, grey and white Cayennes. I still get positive comments to this day about the colour.

Hot. Would make a nice complement to my Cayman GTS :)
I love it when a plan comes together.

20 more hp, Turbo bodywork, some of the performance options like Sport Chrono would have been standard. I think that's the big stuff.

Wow, Dave’s is a cool colour! I personally love the oddness of it, though if he were to trade it in he’d get lowballed like crazy because of how hard a sell that paint would be. Most who want Cayennes unfortunately want boring colours. The “wildest” easy sell is Chalk with red calipers, especially on a GTS or Turbo.

The S and GTS lost the V8 with the mid-cycle refresh in 2015, making this GTS rather desirable.

There is no nasty FGC timing chain at the back of the block nonsense is there?

Based on how many are around, Carmine Red doesn't seem unsellable. Then again the Halifax Porsche dealer has had a red Macan GTS for many months.

Since JLR products are in discussion, why not an F-Pace? Good-looking rigs with good depreciation. No idea of how these things age though - @TheHire would know for sure.

A guy at work bought one for his wife when they first came out. Traded it in under a year for a Macan GTS because it was a POS. Maybe newer ones are better.

The F-Pace and Velar are unidentical twins, and L-R products are known for their terrible quality. We don't hear much about recent Jags, but they sell in such small numbers...

In any case, I'd never trust a post-warranty Euro car for daily driving, unless it's a "high reward" vehicle like a 911.

A Pentastar-powered Durango may fit Blur's depreciation+room+towing capacity equation. Not 4Runner quality, but half price.

Macan & F-Pace are too small IMO. Blur said he wants to tow a 3500lbs trailer with ease, Macan / F-Pace and the like are usually rated for 4500-5000lbs, so it'll tow it, but not "with ease". He also wants room for a bunch of dogs, and a cushy interior. Both would be tight loaded up with the dogs and everything else for an extended road trip to the East Coast.

Pentastar Durango is a good option, I feel like those are forgotten, probably some deals to be had - relatively speaking.

You're right, but Dave's isn't Carmine, it's "Auburn". Carmine would be an easier sell, but still not quite "easy".

Here's one local to me, old school lifetime smalltown Chryco dealer, factory hitch with 6,200 lbs towing capacity:

I just can't see Blur911 getting a Durango of all things, while I agree with it being an under-looked option. He's likely going to end up with another German SUV of some sort, because that's the kind of thing he's into.

Well, a Durango does have Mercedes-Benz ML genetics  :stick:

Yeah, was just using Carmine as an example of a non boring color.

Then there's Nordic Gold.

And Peridot.

Funny, a friend replaced his Cayenne with a Durango.   It seems really big, has a Hemi.   It's nice, but I dunno....

It's basically a 7-seat JGC underneath. A lot of people here with big ute needs buy Durangos. Easier to drive, park and fuel up than the big BOF jobs that nobody wants here. Nobody talks about Durangos, but I see a lot of them on the roads.
