The Lunch Hour Detail
« on: September 06, 2022, 01:38:36 pm »
Not sure if anyone else does something like this, but a few times a month I use my lunch hour(ish) to clean the exterior of my vehicle.  Fortunately, I parking in a heated garage at the office.  So I can run it through a touchless wash in about a 15 minute round trip, then go back to my parking stall and do a 10 minutes once-over with Meguirs Quick Detailer, followed by a 5-10 minute application of the Turtle Wax ceramic spray.  And still time to eat something  ;D

I'll likely throw my shop vac and some interior supplies in the trunk tomorrow and spend 2-3 hours doing the interior over the course of the week....usually do that once per season.

It makes me happy.  :P

With young kids, before you know it it's 9PM before I can even think about non-essential tasks....so I'm finding using an hour or two in the middle of the day is becoming the best way to knock things off my list.  I really don't need much time to eat, just some time away from work tasks so I can re-focus again for the afternoon.  It's working well.
