Stevie might want a manual trans.

^^^^  Understatement.  Thank you.

What's the point of an auto tranny that one drives only occasionally unless your stink at driving.  Additionally, what's the point of AWD in the summer.

BMW .... they are really doubling down on electrification.  They should open up a battery plant in Ontario.  ;D

With manual, rear seat, luxury, and RWD being your wants, have you considered the Caddy CT4-V Blackwing?  Obviously not a 2 door, but I'd say it's just as much of a sports car as a M2 or Mustang.  Has a better manual than both of those, is about middle between the two as far as luxury.  That's what I would probably do if I was you, but then it 100% depends on availability and how you feel about the looks inside and out.

2 turbos slapped on a GM parts bin 3.6     That's a bad dream right there.    $1375 mth/48 mth. lease   :rofl2:

Integra S looks really interesting.  $1000 mth/48 mth lease.  You could sell that quickly if needed.

There always lurks a 2016/2017 GT350.  But you need to find one from a single owner and without a contrasting giant stripe down the center.

I tend to think if you drove the Caddy back to back with the M2 you'd have a different impression.  As for the bad dream, I'm assuming you mean reliability, which if you are leasing isn't really an issue.

If I was going older Mustang, the GT350 would not be the one I'd go after, I'd get the last generation Boss 302.  But then I don't mind the old school tech and rear end in it.

I hear there's good money in opening battery plants in Ontario.  ;D

Bad dream is in reference to getting out of it.  The 48 mth leases I enter into are just for financing purposes.  I usually dump a vehicle no more than 56K km regardless of the term.  A manual, rear drive CT4-V-B would be impossible to dump early.  GM put 10% lease rate on that vehicle for a reason.  I doubt if one even exists in Ontario.  You'd have to be nuts to get one of those wiener jobs when the BIG DOG CT6 Blackwing is rolling around.   So embarrassing if you rolled up on one.  Didn't Hannibal just get one of those?

Savage, Doug Demuro, Hoovie all love that year GT350.  Still hot air at this point.  ;D

And you're referring to the CT5 V Blackwing; the CT6 Blackwing was very short lived, nowhere near as good, and a total dud.

When did Subaru drop their "value edition" of the WRX. Noticing bottom trim is now $36,072.  Wasn't there one for $32K before?

^ There was, it was $32,XXX, but not sure if that included freight and whatever else.  The new pricing for '24 includes freight/fees.  The trim name is the same, "WRX".

Still kicking myself for not grabbing a '23 manual at the kickass lease rate.  Under $400 a month taxes in.  Such a good deal.

Found the prices, including freight/pdi, not including crazy fees.

(2022) $30,995 + $1,725 = $32,720
(2023) $32,495 + $1,975 = $34,470
(2024) $33,695 + $2,195 = $36,072

The thing too was the residual was super high and the interest rates were low, so $361.00/month in Alberta taxes in

Now it's up to $474 for the 16k 2 year lease. Still not terrible though

So the other day we're watching the new Guy Ritchie series The Gentlemen on Netflix and Land Rover products are prominently featured. I decided to price out a couple just for fun. First was a Range Rover Velar, the one with the I6. MSRP was a touch over $100k and the lease payment would be $2200 taxes in for 36 months with zero down. Next was a Defender 110 S P400 with an almost identical MSRP. With the exact same lease terms with payment was $1600 taxes in. Quite a dramatic difference. Interest rates were similar (though not identical) so presumably the Defender has a much higher residual.

At our local Mazda dealer there is  a sea of CX-5's. I think that is the only vehicle Mazda sells. ;D

I know the styling is a little polarizing, and it's probably a gutless wonder...but it gets darn near 80 km electric range and right now there's up to $9000 in rebates both federally and provincially (yay! MB is back to giving away free money on electric/PHEVs! ) - which of course means that any dealer will "rightfully" sell you one because now it's sought after...for $9000 over list...probably...and it's a Mitsubishi (or a Nissan Pathfinder in reality, IIRC)...so do you really WANT one of these?  Gets decent YT reviews and the interior looks like a nice place to be...and 80 km of YT tester EV range means it'd rarely see a tank of gas.  My son thinks I've lost all sense of smell and taste. But it's gotta be better than an Explorer hybrid or an Escape...right?  Looks be damned and subjective.

The model I'd spec is around $58k...don't need top of the line, but has to have these wheels or it looks even worse.

It’s based on the Rogue, not the Pathfinder.
