I thought I  heard that the increase in gas this time is because it was cold in Russia.  Can't wait to hear next weeks excuse.

In November the US/Canada excuse was that we were all in for a unusually cold winter.  This is the warmest winter I have ever experienced.

So since that excuse has pr oven to be BS the new excuse is with regards to west's tension with Iran over their nuclear program.  No kidding. :'(

THE  REAL reason is all the OIL EXECS Maybachs are real gas hogs and their mistresses AMG Mercs are thirsty too.........satisfied ??..... ;)..............only  if I get the Red HEAD ....Ooooowwweeeeee!!!!!...

Supply and demand...Katrina and other disruptions that seem to happen almost weekly have the OIL SPOT prices fluctuating and dithering like P>Martini's excuses   ;D..live with it...unless ya bought a 20,000 gallon tanker fer yer back 40 when gas was 50Cent a Hip Hop Pop........
Time is to stop everything happening at once

97.9 for Regular in Grande Prairie, AB.  Most expensive in Alberta!

Supply and demand...Katrina and other disruptions

The supply is manipulated; a version of Harper's supply side economics.  :fall:

Filled up at 71.3c/L. I thought I'd never see prices below 80 cents. I am not complaining.  ;D

Just filled up when I came back from Toronto about 2 hours ago now. Gas here is 77.9 to-night but was down to 74.9 yesterday.  Who's good at figuring out Gas Milage. I drove 420 kliks to-day and used 33 litres of fuel  which cost me $26.00 to fill up. I am putting Sunnoco Premiumn Fuel in the old Beast to save any winter problems with the weather.   :)

All the way down to 93.9 here. I don't remember gas in the 80s.

Fuel is 79.9 here in Sudbury now. Big deal, I just saved $20/month vs. 89.9. I wish fuel was sold by the ml so price fluctuations would cause more widespread panic.

Wait for it, paranoia will again fan the flames of higher fuel prices.

Filled up at 80.9cents/L last night.  No complains here.

78.9 considering the 2c/L discount I get off it.

I think this type of event is typical of what we can expect in the future. Hopefully, all such attempts will not be successful, but, given the odds, a few may succeed. Pricing in the gasoline market and oil generally will be subject to these events. I see no way that this can be negated entirely. It's all part of the previous stories posted wherein the US will end up policing/manning with soldiers various oil infastructure thruout the world. All the more reason for Alberta's tar sands to be an increasingly larger producer.
