I had a 1979 Scirocco, color Indiana Red, with 4 speed manual. It was a blast to drive. Then I bought the succeeding 1982 model, which was heavier and softer.

Vee World in Brampton (is it still there?) just by Queen and the 410, had about 8 Sciroccos sitting in his lot a few years ago.  All pretty rough, but interesting just seeing so many in one spot!  Unfortunately not a very good salesman...it was tough to get him to talk about the cars.

I remember in 1988 a guy I knew in high school had a red '82 Scirocco. He loved that car and announced it was probably the quickest car in the school.

Then I took him at a light with my mom's '83 Phoenix.
