Took three trips to haul 3500 lbs. of busted up concrete to the dump.

So, about not needing a truck.....

Ready to head to the Eco Station. I love an 8 foot box for jobs like this.

:rofl2:

Maybe next year I'll help him buy another one and he can go into business?

My kid had an offshore ATV that we bought from my sister's boyfriend's kid.  No surprise, it was a total POS.  Sold it 2 months ago and I've been looking for a lawn tractor for him since.  I found this one on Kijiji - it was on the other side of town.

We might pull the deck off for more ground clearance.  I'm looking to get a small trailer to pull behind it.  ;D

Geez is the truck lot on here the most unused of the bunch...so I'll put this here so that it's not such a lonely and threadbare (get it?  :stick: ;D ::) :P) place to be.

Categorize under "Awww Nuts!!"
Here's my grass...I know, doesn't look bad (aside from being parched and that's 3 weeks since the last cut), but I took it before Monday's wind...so X2 or more - it's like walking on marbles.

This (if you can make it out - it's from the camper cord to the sidewalk) is the section of yard we cleaned up tonight, with a little extra by the shack, but mostly just that clean looking part north of the cord. And maybe a little bit closer to where I was standing.  Sure makes the grass look nice...er.

This is how much (and finally the reason for the post) you get from a small section of yard, basically 1 trees worth of acorns, so far.  They're not done yet.  It was a couple hundred pounds, took more effort than I thought it would to slide it out of the truck.  Fewer for the facking squirrels to eat.  Starve you little bithces!! I'm of the opinion they're cuter when they're dead.  The neighbours cat is awesome.

The nice thing is not all the trees have acorns.  The bad thing is that's basically half of that one corner of the yard...the other bad thing is...the trees on the west side ALL do have acorns...and that's about 30' by 150' of fnuts.  And you might still leave behind 10% or more because those little fackers burrow into the grass all on their won...I swear it's true.  If the snow is light at least we'll have deer in the yard all winter...and deer poop.  So treats for the deer, and treats for the dog...who's stupider now!

Heading to a friends cabin for a ride. Yes, that’s Coor’s light, but I’m offsetting it with some proper IPAs and rum.

Here's what real trucks do. Not just hauling air like the majority of F150's.  :P

^ That’s a heavy load for the old truck.  I’m right in the midst of the same thing myself.  I ripped out my old paver walkway and front steps and now have to decide what to put in its place..  ;D

Your paver project is probably worth more than my truck . ;D
I still have the old patio stones (30 by 24) to haul away. Those buggers are heavy.
Another job for the old truck.

I think i have a friend that wants them. I 'll let him take his back out.
Will still need truck to get them to his location. If he ends up not wanting them yes Kijiji is an option.
Probably best option saves truck and friends back. ;)

So....

I know my van isn't really a truck, but I treat it as such sometimes.

Earlier this week I picked up 5x 2x6x10' from work so that I could do my shed move.  They fit in the back of the van with the hatch closed:

Speaking of 30x24 patio blocks, my wife wants me to build a Patio in our backyard.  It just so happens that my BIL has a bunch of 30x24 patio blocks that he is ripping out in preparation for his addition build.  I went over to his house and picked up 12 of them.  Brought them back in the van.  I googled their weight after.  Each stone weighs 114lbs.  Multiply that by 12, and that is 1368lbs in the back of the van.  Thank Goodness I have airbags installed, or I would not have been able to transport as many as I did.

I'm going back on Saturday for 10 more.  This time I'll have a trailer with me.
