For 2018 if you want the heated seats on an LE it will cost you an extra $2K.  For that you get the front seats heated, 6 way power and lumbar on the driver's, cheapo 4 way passenger and 16 inch allows.  PRIOR to 2017, the extra 2K got you into a base XLE with that same stuff.  Starting in 2017 they brought the XLE upscale a bit so to speak and put the LE "upgrade package" on the LE badge.

And just another NOTE for all the super bargain shoppers, a Toyota Dealer will not let their third party heated seat supplier install heated seats on a base LE Hybrid.  Any aftermarket heated seat will void the warranty.

If you want a warm butt it will be $1K per.  ;D

Which just about covers the cost of that fancy battery for Toyota  ;D Now it all makes sense  :P

The base Hybrid is more than equipped well enough for me (and it does seem to have heated seats) and as far as I see, it's the real winner.  Amazing fuel economy, low initial price (well, low-ish) and the new car has the cool fold-down rear seat.

It's great.

You're looking at US specs.

The vehicle is a huge disappointment.  Less electrical output when the opposite was expected.

The vehicle is a huge disappointment.

I can't recall a single positive post from you, ever, so I'll reserve judgement until Canadian specs are out and real world performance numbers are available.

I'd rather the V-6 than a turbo four.  And no way I'd buy a family-class sedan with a stick unless I planned on keeping literally until it completely died.

They stopped making them because buyers of these cars don't want manuals. So resale would be difficult. Also, these are 95% comfort cars. I have a toy with RWD and a slick shifting stick. No need for DIY gears in my cruiser.

:iagree:

For me, the Hybrid makes a little less sense because of the loss of trunk space.  If I'm driving something bigger than a compact, I at least expect decent cargo capacity.  That said, if I want more rear-seat space to drive around folk, and need just "average" trunk space, the 2018 Camry Hybrid LE looks nearly impossible to beat in terms of value.

I'd totally take a stick in my midsized sedan if I could. My Maxima and Altima were both more fun to drive than my Sonata for that very reason.

But yeah,  I get that market demand is almost non existent.

Lol the sharp handling Accord is not a cruiser. It's comfortable like a cruiser but it can take a few corners. News of a 2 litre turbo with a stick shift sounds so enticing.

Doesn't it have a full size trunk because the batteries are under the seat?

^^Assuming the 2018 Camry Hybrid rear seats can fold 60-40 would reason enough for me to buy it over the Accord Hybrid.

Other than the fact that the opening looks pretty small.

Holy crap - I knew that the battery was under the rear seat, but I thought there was still some protrusion into the trunk!  For a completely normal trunk, the Camry Hybrid is almost a no-brainer to me!  That's incredible.

My "cruiser" definition has to include easy entrance/exit for my wife.  She has that now
because A7 has eight-way power passenger seat and she has that at highest position.
And I have 20 inch tires summer/19 winter.

If I measure height of Camry passenger seat and it is an inch less, it would be off my list.

Meh, four wheels are boring to me these days. I'd rather be comfortable.

Snowcat drives a mom-mobile too.

I can think of lots of comfortable cars. But if you like vans...I'm happy with what makes you happy.

Who is Snowcat?
