Pffft.  None of those are nearly as fuel efficient as the Corolla, I don't see any of them having new tires, and mine has the fewest kilometers of any others posted.  Clearly, it is the best choice ;D

Or a nice, low mileage, automatic Skyline for commuting?

Hey, one potential selling point for your Corolla:  Every nut and bolt has only ever been touched by professional mechanics.

What's the dystopian Ontario UVIP say about the value for tax purposes? :P

The reality is that Toyota products hold their value better than most other brands.  Bargain hunters look elsewhere.  But, keep in mind that when someone ponies up for a Toyota and then they sell it, they reap the rewards of that pre-industrial revolution-glacial-pace of depreciation.

The only place it does not hold it value is if you traded it in at a Toyota dealer ;D

So the car is already e-tested and passed in December - I can't find anywhere that says how "current" the certificate must be.

I'd have to get it safety tested still, but that's $50 and I'll do it this weekend.

Question for ya'll - is it worth the $52+tax to get the Carproof with the lien check?  We paid the car off after 4 years (so it's been lien-free for 3 years now) but I honestly have never checked that Toyota Credit Canada actually discharged its lien properly, so if I'm doing the Carproof, might as well get the full report.

Get the UVIP from the MTO, it's $20 and will tell you.

If the buyer wants a carproof let them get it.

Safety is only good for 40 days (or similar) so usually sellers don't get it until they have a serious buyer.

Thanks for the info - I already ordered the UVIP earlier this week - I should get it next week (it was worth waiting in order to not have to go to Service Ontario more than I need to :P).

The safety is good only for only 36 days (how did they come to that number :|), so I'll wait until I have a serious buyer, but apparently the e-test is good for a year:

The safety is good only for 40 days, sure, so I can wait until I have a serious buyer, but what about the emissions test?

Emissions test is good for one year.

Since I basically move between Ottawa and Toronto, I posted the ad twice in both locations.  The Ottawa ad has 368 views, whereas the Toronto one has 1,093.  I figured that'd happen.
