i've seen a fair amount of the previous versions of these (in all three GM brands - Buick, Chevy & GMC)...the new model seems to not only look better, but nicely redone...this is a competitive segment (even if the volume isn't as high as the class below), so getting it right is important.
When you've lost the argument, admit defeat and hit the smite button.

I'm often pretty critical of GMs product planning, but not here.  I think up-sizing the Traverse and Enclave a little bit, and dramatically shrinking the Acadia, was a great move.  It gives them  a lot more product coverage in the 3-row CUV market than they had before (when the triplets essentially being identical).

As with the Atlas (and Explorer?), I'm not sure I'd be comfortable with the long-term viability of the 2.0T moving this much weight.  I wonder what the take rate on it is vs the V6.

It doesn't look like a minivan anymore. Reminds me more of a Suburban now, with a Cruze front end. The 3rd row seems more comfortable.

Not a Traverse specific criticism but large SUVs in general -- 98.2 cubic feet of cargo capacity behind the first row, that's cute. My Sienna has close to that much behind the second row (2680L = 94.5 cubic feet), so I can still transport five passengers. But these SUVs can tow more than the 3,500 lb my Sienna is rated for I'll give them that. 5,000lb in the Traverse's case.

I think GM is starting to really focus on things that buyers care about. Nice to read about the suspension, and definitely the "have to get used to, but wicked in theory" rear view mirror/camera.

I'd expect some better efforts at fuel saving, but it's not bad for such a beast.

That rear view mirror/camera looks odd with the toggle switch on the bottom, as if it wasn't electro-chromatic ?

The 2.0T in my 2016 Buick Envision  Premium ll is pushing around 4,100 lbs and seeing 24-25 mpg on a 8 mile daily commute to work, 50/50 highway/city.  On the highway at 65 mph it has a two way average best of 32 mpg for an hour each way....with AWD.   The Traverse 2.0T is only offered in FWD  so it shouldn't have any problems.

Hey Airbalancer, I need you to balance those diffusers over there to 200 CFM, set the reheat coil to 3.1 GPM, and build a 12"x8" acoustically lined transfer air boot for that office in the corner, guy's complaining his office is 78 degrees in the afternoon and I think it's because he has no return air. Wait, do you need me to convert that to metric for you?  ;D

I kid, I totally get what you're saying. But I'm guessing NormT is talking about Imperial gallons which is even more irrelevant in North America. People in Canada buy gas by the litre and people in the US buy gas by the US gallon.

put a tint on the windows if it south facing ,
ask him to leave his door open for a day or two and see if that helps before putting a transfer in
Hell , let's just put in a split system in  ;D

My drawings are either in metic or standard, so I can use both systems

Like I said , in Canada we buy gas in litre and measure in km

Norm T, also known as Norm C and Norm SV650 is an internet gadfly popping up here, on C/D and on TTAC, plus goodness knows where else. He is US-based and wouldn't know an Imperial gallon or a litre if he tipped over a bucket of either. His schtick is Buick, secondarily GM, but he used to be a Saab nut. His vehicles always get Trifecta -tuned, achieve abnormal power compared to the normal vehicle and achieve low fuel consumption only available to his febrile mind. Norm always drives downhill whether he's coming or going.

Treat him with kindness, for he knoweth not what he is afflicteth with, a disease of Buick proportion, and an imagination that even GM PR cannot emulate.

^^ internet, won.

The Internet is very handy:

33 us miles per gallon = 7.128 liters per 100 kilometers

In a 2017 Ford Escape SE AWD for 6 hours at 65 miles per hour =

104.607 kilometers per hour.

I like it. I would have considered one if something like this was available when I was looking four years ago.

The hidden storage area behind the third row can swallow a carry-on sized luggage from a photo I saw on another site. That's an awesome feature in my books.

Just checked NormT's profile, he's from Ohio. That would explain his obsession with the archaic measuring system that only 5% of the world population uses on a day to day basis, including old Canadians and Brits who grew up in the pre-metric era. Don't worry NormT, you're still welcome here. :)

He doesn't want anything to block his view.
He's always on a conference call and it's bothering the other staff (although he's the boss so they have no say)
They're on the 29th floor of a 60 storey building.
Dedicated water source heat pump/fan coil unit/VAV box?

Happy to derail this thread further,   ;D
Have the opposite problem here.  My boss insists on having his office set to about -3.  That is about the temperature he stops sweating.
The hvac system of course spreads the same deep freeze amongst the other areas of our floor.
What can we do so the rest of us don't freeze our Mcnuggets off?

First thing , you would need to know the mechanical system for the area
Than airflows over the office area. Location of the stat

If you just want do a quick and  for proof system not necessarily the cheapest Install a bypass box for his office, and a split system
