Nissan films their electric car with the most anti-green SUV on the planet.  LOL.

Looks pretty nice

Looks more "normal" than the current one, which is good. I thought it would be more sporty based on the concept. This resembles Kia Rondo to me, well, until the official pics are released.

Yes looks much better than Gen 1. Looks like the offspring of a Venza and a Murano.

I agree, and that can only be a good thing compared to the dorky original version. If nothing else, Tesla has shown that EVs don't need to look dorky and can look cool.

Agreed, sadly Toyota still thinks hybrids and PHEV's still need to look dorky.

It's a rendered picture based on what's been revealed and spotted, but it looks close to what the Leaf 2.0 will be like.

And there maybe a new TERRA CUV coming, built upon the Leaf 2.0 platform.

Specs have been leaked:

Quote
According to a configurator for the updated EV published by Autobytel, the 2018 Leaf will be a good bit more powerful than the outgoing version. If accurate, we can expect this latest electric lump to put out 147 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque, up from 107 hp and 187 lb-ft in the current model, so the difference should be quite visceral.

The best I can say is it doesn't look like the old leaf. Nissan should just reveal it & get it over with. This isn't going to wow anybody.

Fackin' torsion beam is everywhere  ;D

Soon  :D

http://insideevs.com/new-nissan-leaf-us-debut-september-9/

Sept 5 we should see the global Leaf 2.0 unveil.

The HP and torque numbers suspiciously resemble those of VW 2L diesels of a generation ago  :P

http://insideevs.com/nissan-leaf-debuts-september-5th-830-pm-et-530-pt-watch-live/

Nissan will debut the all-new LEAF at a special event in Japan very shortly…and as with all major plug-in vehicle launches, you can watch it live right here!  (The above placeholder/teaser video will be replace with a live feed shortly before the event is scheduled to begin)
The 2018 Nissan LEAF is expected to be offered with a base 40 kWh battery, from about $30,000 (in USD).This entry level should net at least 150 miles/240 km of real/world (EPA) range.

In addition, a larger battery option is also expected (~60 kWh), pushing the new LEAF’s total range past 200 miles, making it a more direct competitor to the Chevrolet Bolt EV (Opel Ampera-e) and new Tesla Model 3.

The 2018 LEAF is said to be arriving very regionally in late December in the US, with most Americans (and Europeons) seeing the model’s arrival in early 2018

The event takes place in Tokyo, Japan at 9:30 AM (GMT +9) on September 6th – which means the following dates/times for other locations:

    Eastern Time USA – September 5th – 8:30 PM
    Pacific Time USA – September 5th – 5:30 PM
    Europe (UK) – September 6th – 1:30 AM
    Europe (Germany) – September 6th – 2:30 AM

So, mark the date and time on the calendar and we will see you back here to watch the LEAF’s debut live from Japan!
