They're out there - and I suspect that if the trend of "collectible" Japanese 90's cars keeps up, they will creep up to $30K or so before they level off.  I don't think they'll go Porsche nuts, but a pristine Supra Turbo is a $100K car now, so even the little MR2s might crest $30K - ya never know...

Yea, I mentioned the market swing on MR2 some time ago.  Ditto 3000GT VR4s.  And I'm seeing the trend in C5/C6 Z06 too.

Here's one with 22K miles  http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?listingId=409309609&zip=48226&modelCode1=MR2&referrer=%2Fcars-for-sale%2Fsearchresults.xhtml%3Fzip%3D48226%26keywordPhrases%3Dturbo%26showcaseOwnerId%3D65368831%26startYear%3D1981%26endYear%3D2018%26modelCodeList%3DMR2%26makeCodeList%3DTOYOTA%26modelCode1%3DMR2%26mmt%3D%255BTOYOTA%255BMR2%255B%255D%255D%255B%255D%255D%26sortBy%3DmileageASC%26makeCode1%3DTOYOTA%26firstRecord%3D0%26searchRadius%3D0&showcaseOwnerId=65368831&startYear=1981&numRecords=25&makeCode1=TOYOTA&firstRecord=0&endYear=2018&searchRadius=0&makeCode1=TOYOTA&modelCode1=MR2

And a nice Supra!  http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?listingId=450915612&zip=48226&modelCode1=SUPRA&referrer=%2Fcars-for-sale%2Fsearchresults.xhtml%3Fzip%3D48226%26keywordPhrases%3Dturbo%26showcaseOwnerId%3D65368831%26startYear%3D1981%26endYear%3D2018%26modelCodeList%3DSUPRA%26makeCodeList%3DTOYOTA%26modelCode1%3DSUPRA%26mmt%3D%255BTOYOTA%255BSUPRA%255BSUPRA%25257CTurbo%255D%255D%255B%255D%255D%26trim1%3DSUPRA%257CTurbo%26sortBy%3DmileageASC%26makeCode1%3DTOYOTA%26firstRecord%3D0%26searchRadius%3D0%26trimCodeList%3DSUPRA%257CTurbo&showcaseOwnerId=65368831&startYear=1981&numRecords=25&makeCode1=TOYOTA&firstRecord=0&endYear=2018&searchRadius=0&makeCode1=TOYOTA&modelCode1=SUPRA

Scott, thanks for taking some pics of it before you put it away.  And a huge thanks for storing it for me, I owe ya big time!!!   Looking forward to flying there and picking it up.    O0

So does this mean we've buried the hatchet on the whole GS400 fiasco?    :rofl2:

Nope, I still haven't quite let go of that just yet!   ;D

FFS.   :banghead:

Well you'll really hate me after I travel ahead of you and give the MR2 a good old "Tokyo Drift" test drive.... ;D

Yeah, you can bring some oil for me and Shane at the same time! :-)

Easier to mail it.  :)

Don't mean to derail the thread, but weren't you going to send me some before?

You mean the 2 stroke sample?

Yeah

Yeah

Was under the impressions you had little use during winter months?  Perhaps I misunderstood?

I can get it out ASAP if you're needing it now.

I use much more in the summer.  But do use some in the winter, and I will notice it more in the smaller engine machines like the leaf blower & weed eater.  So I will wait till then.

Canada's premier MR2 meet. The dates are July 21-23rd 2017 in Belleville, Ontario with the full day lapping event being on the Friday. Cost for the full day of lapping is$250 Canadian ($200 USD approx) and there will be a scenic ride/wine tour as well as a car show on the Saturday. There will be 2 or maybe even 3 after parties with the MR2BBQ on site so for those of you who have participated in the Bear "BEER" Mountain shenanigans in the past, you know that a good time will be had by all!

The Supre looks great, but looks oddly small when you see it in traffic today. It's shocking how large cars have become, and the Surpa is far from Ferrari low, but sits very low in comparison to even sedans now.

That's a good price in the Supra market. It's rising and fast.

Really hoping that the weather here will start to get better so I can bring this home.  Really looking forward to it.  Looking like it will be the end of April at this point.

You're the creative type, right?  Why not build your own?  It's easy! Parts available at Home Depot and on a tight budget too!

With the right kind of wood, it looks much better as a table.
