The return of SH-AWD is a big deal for this model.   With the need 10 speed tranny and the good AWD system it should make the RDX worth a look in this segment.  The front brakes look too small though....

5.7 is a pretty quick automatic Accord...i like! :)

Preety much the norm for a 2.0T FWD sedan.  Thr Malibu 2.0T has been doing it since 2016 and Regal since 2011 or so.

They still make the Regal?

The Accord 2.0T has seen between 5.3 and 5.5 seconds to 60 in independent tests with a trap speed of 102-104 mph.  No Buick is keeping up with it at higher speeds.

Yes they still make the Regal.  You can even get it with a V6!

yea, and the new GS is pretty nice.

That rebadged Opel is pretty.  But it should be branded something else.  Buick has virtually no brand value unfortunately.

What do you mean?  No brand value?

Just some goblity-goop when you don't like the argument.  The 2012 Regal GS mops the floor with a 2018 Accord 2.0T in MT figure eight handling test.   Better braking from 60 mph to a stop too.

Look at the overall sales volume.  Buick has nothing that truly competes with the Accord or Camry in terms of sales.

Why would they?  Buick is a more premium brand.  The only Toyota that competes with a Buick (the Lacrosse) is the Avalon.  They compete well together.

The front brakes look too small though....

On one hand those are probably 20-21 inch wheels so it exaggerates things, but yeah, Honda does often cheap out on brakes I feel.

OTOH they also cheap out on metal, so the car is probably really light, so you don't need as much brakes.

OTO, OH they are probably putting :censor: tires on it too so despite the lighter weight it'll still have bad stopping distances combined with nasty brake fade.

Buick is a premium brand?  Well clearly based on sales volume the market wasn't aware of this.  Stupid market.

Marketing says Chevy, Toyota,  VW, Ford have Buick, Lexus, Audi, Lincoln  to go to.

I mean more premium then Honda.  Closer to Acura, and Infiniti.  Not a luxury brand like MB, BMW, Audi, and Lexus

Damn straight - that is righteously fast for a mainstream midsize sedan.  But our resident troll would claim it sucks if it did 0-60 in 4 seconds flat while getting 50 mpg.  Because troll.  Bet it won't even appreciate in value.  ::)

I don’t think they can.  Lots of competition in the segment and Acura heavily discounts the MDX.

Hopefully HMC prices better than they did the sales flop of a Accord so far.

My SIL has an RDX, she loves it, and they were thankful when the old 2.3L went away as it gave really poor economy.  The V-6 version is much better.

That old 2.3T was definitely not a great engine. The new 2.0T has already proven to be markedly better. The loss of the V6 will not be noticed by the masses.

I bet they sell more than Ferrari too.

You are comparing a mainstream, non luxury, inexpensive car with Luxury makes?

 ???

You are expecting rational analysis from the biggest slappie that ever lived?  ???

Here's hoping the RDX can haul ass in remotely the same league that the Accord can.  This powertrain for damn sure is no slouch.
