the mustang mach e, the id.4 and the polestar 2 are much more appealing options imo.

I wonder if sales numbers in 2020, 2021 and beyond will back up your opinion on the superiority of the others.

Model Y is the only one available in quantity in 2020, and in 2021 the Model Y standard range will be available and customer feedback will be interesting to gauge market acceptance.

We shall see.

I could personally care less about $70K CAD SUV market, but the $50-60K SUV market in 2021 with the standard range Model Y will be telling.

Did VW solve their software issues?

Not sure how "more appealing" turned into "superiority".

Spy video of ID4 in pretty much production form. It looks good in black:

The back doesn’t look the same.  Compare the pics.

Meh. Too big of a sacrifice to make it look a little sportier. One positive thing is all these variants show VW is serious about the market share and demand for the electric utes.

Nice looking car.
I like the more butch look of this vs the hatch back bloated look of the ID3.

There are 2 body styles. I think there’s also a sport back style coming.  https://www.carscoops.com/2020/06/new-2021-vw-id-4-x-and-id-4-crozz-electric-suvs/

Market will reject it?   I seriously doubt that.

I like the look of that one, I could live with that.
Gone but not forgotten in chronological order: 2019 Volt, 2013 Volt, 2014 Spark EV, 2012 Volt and many others before...

I can't find anything but suppose there's gotta be some oem supplier involved, like Magna or some other.

It amazing how this:

goes out of the window when the production version arrives.  :rofl2:

It's boring as fook, so we'll probably get one.

A short test drive of the "prototype", which is basically a production car with some camo left behind. Reminds me of Mazda CX7 as I mentioned before...
