.  Thought it was fitting that Joaquin Phoenix got to wear a laurel crown in an epic movie again, lol.

.

Speaking of him, watched Beau Is Afraid yesterday.

Same writer/director as Hereditary and Midsommar.....

Would not recommend the Adam Sandler movie Spaceman on Netflix.  Was a failed attempt to be artistic and serious but it was just weird and boring.

I just watched Guy Ritchie's The Covenant.  Wow.  I loved it.  Great story.  Simple, but powerful.

Watched Where the Crawdads Sing (leaving Prime soon so...do it soon!) and it was actually quite a good movie.  Would recommend if you...like a good movie.

Saw 'The Beekeeper' over the weekend. Enjoyable straightforward Statham revenge movie, shut off brain and watch him take out the baddies

Agreed.
Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.

Everyone should watch The Truth vs. Alex Jones so you can really see how crazy these people are.

Went to see Dune Part 2 at the theater yesterday.  I have to say, the VIP theater experience is a pretty civilized way to watch a movie.  Beer, wings, nachos >>> popcorn, hotdogs, coke.

I really enjoyed the movie.  Wife did not.  She found it long (3 hrs running time - she's not wrong) and slow in parts (she's also not wrong about that, it just didn't really bother me much).

I thought the action and fight sequences were pretty epic.  And I dsicovered that Rebecca Ferguson still looks hot even with tatoos all over her face.  ;D

How do you deal with beer consumption and a 3 hour film. Are you peeing in a cup??? ;D
If you want more in life you have to make an effort.

Went to the fancy theatre in Wpg to see Dune 2...haven't seen the first one yet, doesn't matter.  I was tired and thought I'd fall asleep but I did not.  Also...I guess everyone else in MB has seen it.  No one but the three of us.  Not a single other person decided they wanted to see Dune on a Sunday afternoon.  That's a shitty business model...I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that 3 popcorns, drinks and a small bag of Oh Henry's each costs $69.  :o >:(  Feckin' ridiculous...being robbed willingly sucks, even when you voluntarily give away your debit card.

Agreed, very good watch!  Also watched Inside Man, which is a Spike Lee movie from 2006, and was also a very good watch.

We went and saw The Fall Guy on Friday.  Loved it.  Funny action movie, and Ryan Gosling was, as usual, great in it.  Kinda the perfect role for him, as he doesn't take himself too seriously.  As expected for a movie about stunt men, there were stunts and explosions galore.

About a decade ago I remember bumping into Clive Owen and he asked me off the top of head which of his movies I remember. I replied Inside Man, Children of Men and his small appearance in the first Bourne film, The Bourne Identity. He said that after reading the script he actually did not want to do Inside Man, but his agent, who was with him, urged him to do it!! I said that was the correct decision as his depiction of the masked bank heist mastermind in the movie is timeless!!
