Absolute beauty!!  What did it hit on??

Isn't it life changing to tie knots with forceps?  Seriously changed my fishing game being able to tie knots with those instead of fingers....
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Tying knots with forceps?  Never crossed my mind to do that.

:censor: that makes it easy! I use that same knot to tie onto a snap swivel & boy is it tough in a boat that's moving & my lack of near vision with my contacts in

Fishing was tough. The heat has covered some of my spots with weeds or carpeted it completely with duckweed.

I'm ill equipped for these conditions.

Have some new rigs on the way to remedy this.

Did catch a nice one on a Torpedo though!

I'm on week 3 of my 3 week vacation and we have done some fishing.

The first one was caught 30 miles into the backcountry.  The last two off the swim dock at the family cottage.

Funny how that happens off the dock

I was in Peru fishing for piranha, we went way off into the jungle and caught nothing. Came back all disappointed and when we told the kid tying up the boats he cast off the dock and hooked one first go

Right where we swam every evening too!

Sweet tortoise!

Absolutely fantastic, Tortoise!!  I really hope I can get out your way for some fishing some time!!

On my end, I have been absolutely working my ass off learning new techniques that go with modern plastic baits to deal with adverse conditions and still catch fish.  Took the week off work and was fishing twice per day in pursuit of mastering the new gear.  I'd start 1+ hour before dawn and would fish for about 4 hours.  Then I'd go home and sleep and be back out there about 2-3 hours before sundown and fish about 1 hour after the sun set.  Every day.

Check out the water conditions.  Duckweeds like carpet.  In years past, I'd not have fished this at all.  But with loads of practice, I've figured out how to consistently catch fish in this muck.  I also pulled a Crappie out of this crap.  Some of my catches from the past week.

I also boned up on my Ned rigging, Texas rigging, Wacky rigging, etc. with these new plastics.  Some of these new plastic baits, particularly Z-Man and Mule Fishing blow my mind!

He's had a number of opportunities to come to Ottawa, heck last summer he could've came up here to pick up his Boxster, but didn't  :stick:  If he ever does make it, we'll have to get out on the links  ;D
