Pretty cool.

The telemetry said it was moving at 2,000 m/s which is 4473.8 mph.  :o

 :fiver:

It still irks me that I never took the opportunity to witness a launch at cape canaveral when I had many chances.  My parents spent 21 winters in Sarasota and we visited them a lot, and have been to the cape a couple of times, but never during a launch.   :P

I call Klingon Bird of Prey.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

As of yesterday, those who know are not saying.  SpaceX is not saying, Northrop-Grumman is not saying and the Pentagon is not saying. The three of them each refer to one of the others. The strongest suggestion is that the satellite somehow failed to detach properly from the SpaceX second stage.

Yep.

Grumman made the adapter ring...so likely their fault.

But it's not the first time the govt lied about a destroyed spy satellite on launch.
