Hate the ones which demand your postcode before proceeding and then ask for it everytime I change model (what if I'm American or homeless ??).

Try go on dealership sites...some have this annoying '"I am ready for live chat"' box which follows you around like an annoying mosquito.

Jaguar Canada - just built a pretty much base-model F-Type convertible, adding the climate pack.  Came to $78,100...  Sorry Camaro Z28, your power can't match the beauty of the noble cat, and then there's the drop-top factor.
I'd rather be car-poor than house-poor...

I've been good lately.  Just Hyundai for Santa Fe XL for a friend who's looking.

I like websites that lets you see what additional options are included when you go up trim levels, instead of listing ALL features and not in the same order.

Volvo for the V60 .. of course...

I really would want the folding front seat but looks like it is only on the upper trim so + $3,000 from base.  Other than that, I would be super-happy with the base model and no options (well, maybe the climate package for the heated winshield nozzles).

Base is 41.8 + $800 for other-than-black-white-paint.  If I go whole-hog...

T5 Premier Plus with Climate/Blis/Paint

Base MSRP   $44,800.00
Packages        $2,350.00
Options            $800.00
Total MSRP    $47950.00

Total MSRP                               $47,950.00
Freight & Dealer Preparation     $1,715.00
Trade-in and Down Payment            $0.00
Total Selling Price                   $49,665.00

I just looked at that as well.  Another $1000 for HID lights. You would think a safety concious company like Volvo would just make them standard and adjust the price.  I think this idea, started by BMW I think, of charging for coloured paint is a total rip off.     I wouldn't get BLIS or the technology package   I think some of that stuff would make a perfectly serviceable Volvo into a FSC

Yeah, I hate sites that aren't clear on the contents of option pkgs or trim levels. (They relist everything and mix the added stuff in) Is it Hyundai that's bad for that?
Old Jag convertible...one itch I won't have to scratch again.

I would be tempted to just go whole hog because a wagon that sexy deserves no compromise.

Now...Volvo is charging BMW money....its a great car but I'm not so sure about paying $58k for a fully loaded T6 RDesign Platinum with full gizmos especially considering how hard these things depreciate.

Doing a pre-launch build and price for the 2014 Toyota Highlander. Called a dealership and got the not yet published lease and finance rates and plugged them into the Toyota website, which allows you to input your own rates.

The rates are not surprisingly on the high side given the new model halo ring cachet...

Lease:
36 months - 3.9%
48 months - 4.3%
60 months - 4.5%

Finance:
60 months: 3.7%
72 months: 4.1%

i'm always "building"

I should really cut myself off.

regular visits are Toyota, Jeep, Subaru.
but I've also even looked at GM, Chev, Ford, MB, Audi

Toyota IMO is the best site.
the Jeep/Chrysler group is terrible, all quotes don't come with taxes and "fees"

If I remember correctly Mazda is pretty bad for that.  Although, I don't build and price that often.  Especially with Ford, as there are some dealer installed things they can do, so you don't have to change trim levels, but sometimes it doesn't show that on the website.  I only look when I am serious.

Pricing out dodge ram 1500 with 3.0 diesel.  Looks to start around $35k, not bad compared to a JGC with the same engine but still over priced by a couple grand.  Tough to find an affordable tow truck that's good on gas.
