A lot of the German cars are lhd in Japan. Apparently it was a status thing. If you have a thing for 15 year old German cars with low mileage Japan is a nice option.

Italian and French too  ;)
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

RHD cars should be illegal here.

disagree, but I think a test should be passed so the driver knows what he/she is doing

plus, like the ridiculous rule of 15 years for the grey market, the numbers are so tiny it is not even worth the legislation

I would never own a rhd car.  I’ve driven one here once and that was enough.

RHD is fine, you just have to be more aware than normal in passing etc.

I don't get why numbnuts drive RHD 240SXs, regular Imprezas and other junk you can just buy here.

Different powertrains that we didn't get usually (red top vs black top).  Also...cheaper.

Yeah, I've driven a few 1990's RHD Japan stuff in my days in the shop....300zx, 240, Civics, etc. I hated it.

My dad has a 1948 MGTC, it's RHD, but that's the way it was sold in Canada back then. In that car, I am OK with it - plus, it's not like you'd ever drive that car in traffic or on a highway.

But if your honest...RHD is the "real" way these cars were..they became LHD for the USDM market. [emoji2]

That being said, I'm not a RHD fan in the least.  There might be 1-2 RHD cars I'd own...oh...and a Supra isn't one of them.

^ Drove a manual Commodore SS when I was in Oz. Was fantastic, felt like a Corvette with 4 doors.

RHD cars should be illegal here.

They are here in Québec, with few exceptions...

Edit: bottom right of the above link, there is a link to pdf of their "Analysis of the Accident Risk for Right-Hand Drive Vehicles in Québec"

I drove a rhd Hilux for a few years - it was fine besides accidentally turning on the wipers once and a while. The safety piece is totally overblown in my opinion. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean it needs to be banned for others.

Yeah, I've driven a few RHD vehicles, Skylines/Subies, and besides a few unintended first to fourth shifts, no problems. I don't see that as a major safety issues. Besides, look for a clean 240sx here, their outrageously priced and even if decent the KA24 is crap. Much better to get a clean Silvia or a 180/200SX with a factory turbo engine.
Lighten up Francis.....

48k-Mile 2004 Mazda Mazdaspeed Miata.  rrocket has been notified.

Appreciate the thought.  But I refuse to pay $15K plus for one of these.  Afterall...it's still just a Miata.

Cue Miata slappies in 3..2..1..    ;D

15K plus is encroaching on S2000 money...and the S2000 is the far better car.

I'll keep an eye on this auction.  It will be interesting.

Me too!

$7,777 with 3 days to go.
