For example. Want to watch an HBO show in Canada? You can't just subscribe to HBO. You have to subscribe to crazy packages at crazy prices to get the one show you want to watch.

No thanks.

I like the Netflix model. I stopped paying for cable 6 years ago and don't miss it. I record 99% of my viewing OTA for free.

Yeah pretty much actually.

To be honest I don't watch much on Kodi, like I said 99% of my stuff I just use OTA anyways.

I use Kodi to stream PBS as well which is free.

I really wanted an S8 Plus, but the pricing was ridiculous, so I just took it.

Really, I don't care. People do people things. I've got a bootleg copy of John Carter just because I couldn't find it through legitimate sources. That was also shady AF.

I download some stuff but do have cable with HBO and Netflix and Amazon Prime as well.

I just think it's a bit ridiculous when people make a point to pirate everything.

CraveTV carries most of the HBO shows that have finished. But the are doing Billions day of broadcast.

The main reason I installed Kodi was to watch Planet Earth 2 as I LOVED the first one. I watched all of it, and it was even better than the first. Incredible series to say the least. And ironically enough, I'm now watching it on BBC Earth on Fibe.

Found it interesting that Patrick Steward narrated the first one for the UK.

The original narration was done by David Attenborough. If it is a different person, they redid it for different countries/reasons.

The narrations are different for US/UK. It was Sigourney Weaver for the first Planet Earth shown in international markets.

For "Life", it was narrated by Attenborough in the UK. In international markets it was Oprah Winfrey.

I suspect so, but the article isn't very clear on that.
