Yea, I'm glad I learned to let things go. Ok I snapped once on my bicycle a few weeks back on Bike To Work Week. Deep right shoulder checks people.

Nice plate, Ron! Any plans for a top case? Also digging the Triumph.

Starting to plan my route a bit. I heard OPP is pretty strict so I should more or less abide by the speed limits. What about in Quebec?

OPP won't bug you until you're 21km/hr over the speed limit... basically doing 100 in an 80 is fine, doing 110 in an 80 & they'll nab you, or 120 in a 100 is okay, but 125 in a 100 & they'll pull you over. Pretty much the same in Quebec as well.
You live everyday. You only die once....

Yes in Quebec it is 18kph over the limit that is the real limit. 118 kph in 100 zone and they will smile and wave as go go by. Anything over that and you are fair game.

Good good, thanks! I won't go too fast with respect to animals and fuel consumption, but 10-15 over seems reasonable. I'm still optimistic I can do the trip in 3.5 days.

I know it's summer but hopefully Nipigon River Bridge doesn't buckle again, I don't have a passport to detour through the US. Crazy there's no alternate route to cross that river, although I could trespass on the railway bridge if needed I guess.

You can go anywhere on two wheels  ;D

Seriously, have a good trip :)

Geez, I know I've said this, but Ontario seems like such a terrible place to drive/ride with all the speed contrôle. It's all relative I guess.

So after breaking my hand at MoSport last year and Grand Bend this year, I have bitten the bullet and gone down the RRocket path...

Hopefully I don't test them this weekend. I'd like to get through this round with no crashes....

Shipped them direct from the UK, which was a mistake. Still. I like the fit, but they say to get a large if you're 230 mm hand size, they're comfortable with no bunching but I think a medium would have been better for me.

Mistake? Why? Shipping cost?

Revzilla next time?

Also, I think one of their North American offices is in Michigan.

What does UPS charge for brokerage these days?

What does Revzilla use to ship to Canada? I'll use them one day if I'm ever desperate for an item FortNine doesn't carry.

The two Canadian friendly American retailers I've used are Partzilla and Dennis Kirk. Partzilla uses UPS Mail Innovations to send the package to USPS who gets it to the border and hands it off to Canada Post. If your order is big enough, CBSA they'll collect GST/PST/HST but that's it. Dennis Kirk you pay duties and taxes up front but no additional costs upon delivery ever.

Sold my Vino 125 yesterday. Let's say my engine rebuild was a waste of time and money but I didn't think I was buying a house so quickly. Not going to let my general experience for the last 10 months (since the engine blew) detract the overall joy I've had on it the 12 months prior plus here and there the last few months. The scooter still had lingering issues which the buyer is aware about (more recently, final drive seals have failed and the spark plug cap needs to be replaced which Yamaha stopped making). I pretty much gave the scooter away as a result.

I did 19,000 km Fuelly has advised me I only did 16,642km on this guy, not bad for something that would only exceed 100 km/h downhill. Big trips on it included Kamloops, Osoyoos, Salmon Arm, and Westside Road. So I managed to have fun on it, I just consider myself lucky that the scooter didn't break down 200km from home lol.

Oh well, just over three weeks til I pick up my new bike!

I'm trying to convince my buddy to sell his 1992 Honda CB400SF with the 53 HP inline-4 399cc engine. He's last used it four years ago, probably needs a new battery, carb service, and um hopefully the fuel tank hasn't rotted out. It'd go to a good home and he'd get some extra cash for his other projects. Not sure how much he'd get for it but this is an exceptionally rare bike, the four cylinder engine sounds awesome, and producing 53 HP in the under 400cc insurance bracket is sure to make this a sought after bike.

Not his bike but photo for attention.

Maybe. That might add even more value to it.

I'm just perplexed as to why he won't ride it.

I know where there's a minty Honda CB-1 (essentially the same bike) with 9,000kms on it for $4K.  Oh..and the CB-1 was 57HP.   ;D

Lol. Not for me. My CB300F is perfect for what I need, my wife won't let me have more than one bike at least not when we still have ambitions to buy a single family/semi-detached house, can't afford it anyway, and I only have a carport right now. My first three months in my house has told me my bike is safe int he carport.

My neighbour sold his perfectly modded FZ-09.  Ugh,  I wish I'd have snapped it up.
