Picked up this chain cleaner for around $25. Anyone regularly use this type rather then a simple rag?

I've one of those, but don't use it much anymore. I find it's much easier to use a cleaning brush when the bike is mounted on a workstand when I'm washing the bike. Sometimes I use a degreaser to clean the chain and sprockets, but I find they come clean nicely with the same cleaner that I use for the rest of the bike.

I've got a couple of them.  Far preferable to using a rag.  Does a much better job.  As you use it you gradually learn how to use less fluid and make less of a mess with them.  I just don't see how a rag can get dirt out of the bushings, rather than push grime into them.
And some cretins think I hate cars.
