Bought 4 new GoodYear OEM tires as we (ie. me) burnt out the last summer tire set over 30000 km, two tires are OK, will keep them as backups in case of tire damage on the new set.

Turns out that tires cost more in running costs than any other expense.

Got these 4 from fellow Tesla owner for $600 cash, he switched to lower profile 21".
We're happy with 19" tires/rims, with the air suspension, the ride is nicer than the harder but more performance oriented super low profile 21's.

Yes and super low profile are subject to damage from the road: as in broken rim and/or tire from a sharp pothole.

Just got notice on the availability of the parts for the recalls.  November 2018.

Have one issue on the car, for some reason the built in garage door opener (Tesla has it built into the car) stopped working so I've mounted the remote that came with the system.   Will get that fixed along with recalls in Nov, otherwise the car is perfect and I'd prefer to put the car in for all of the items at once to make best use of my time.

Our Tesla S is driving fantastically well, whisper quiet, I cannot recall enjoying the car any more than we currently do.  We've seen the local Model 3's and their owners are very happy, but for us, the size and features (air suspension, auto lift gate, storage) of the S are the key to our reason to not go into a Model 3.

Will be looking for high mileage CPO Model X P90D's off lease in a year or two.

Yeah, showed my wife the P90D currently on the CPO site, at $150K, her comment "not bad, in another year of depreciation that could be ours".
For reference, a new P100D Model X (loaded most options) is $200K.

Note : Not that it's important given the price, but since Quebec still has $8K rebate, the cars Tesla is selling in Quebec may certainly come back on CPO market to anyone in Ontario (Tesla will happily sell me a former Quebec sold Tesla) with the effective value minus rebate factored in.

Meanwhile, did a 300 km return trip in a short afternoon, no drama, forgot to fully charge the car before leaving, not an issue with the number and locations of the superchargers here in Ontario.  Grabbed an ice coffee in Port Hope Timmies next to supercharger and got back to the car with 30% added, 20 minutes from arrival to exit including walking and chatting with Model 3 owner at the stop.

Sorry to torpedoe your plan but Quebec has no incentive on EV’s above $125k. $8k on EV’s up to $75K, $3K from 75 to 125 and above that nothing.

also, the rebates only apply to when you purchase the vehicle brand new...you don't get the rebate when you buy a used one.

Yes and those who bought with a rebate will not discount their cars knowing a new one is so much more expensive now.

Fully charged for a road trip tomorrow.
Car charges to 416 km range, 97%+ of original capacity, no change to this in 3.5 years.
Concerns of battery degradation do not seem to be coming true, this is a 2013 March Tesla Model S with 120,000 km.

Update:

Will be switching over to summer tires soon.
Car still charges to 414 km to 416 km at 100% (varies, but around that range).

Booking service appointment via the Tesla Mobile App , no need for phone call, notifications during service about status of car also done via app.
Car is out of comprehensive warranty in 7000 km or three more months, which ever comes first.

Then 2021 for extended drive train warranty (unlimited km).

Have used the free supercharging a lot this winter, 2x per week due to trips, no problems.  Have visited a few new supercharging sites, Owen Sound recently and a few more along the route to Montreal.

Again, car running like a freight train, no troubles.

good to hear no issues, but i wouldn't use a freight train as the point of reference.

Speaking of freight train crash...

The Tesla requires that you keep your hands on the wheel and apply some torque on the wheel to keep the auto-pilot on. If you do not do that, after a number of seconds, you get a warning.

Some idiot found a way to trick the auto-pilot by sticking a water bottle on the wheel. Being off center it will keep a torque on the wheel and trick the autopilot to stay on forever without the driver touching the wheel.  ::) ::) ::)

Update:  Brought 2013 Model S85 in for it's final service prior to extended warranty end date in mid 2019.

Fixed air suspension.  Both rear struts replaced.   Came back from 10 day vacation and found the Model S rear suspension was lower than the front.   Took picture.  Tesla diagnosed as a leak in the struts, ordered the parts and contacted to book service when parts arrived a few weeks later.

Fixed power steering bolt recall.  Parts had been available for months, but I wanted to do one service to cover any and all items prior to end of warranty.

Rear hatch lift gate strut showed rust, Tesla replaced and updated firm ware to work with the newer strut.

Tesla provided 2016 Model S loaner for the day.
Service started at 9AM, was completed at 1PM, car cleaned and charged.

For the 3 year period of ownership, we have spent $0 on maintenance and were provided loaners or rental for every service, and one of the appointments Tesla came to our house and took the car away and returned it.   Very satisfied.

As noted up thread, the car keeps getting better, the new software/firmware continues to impress.
Tesla has a fantastic battery management system, it's absolutely a charge and drive product, no degradation in 4 years.

Note on the loaner, the 2016 had "auto pilot V1".  I found it useful in the heavy traffic on DVP.  The car display showed the traffic around and made it clear when it recognized traffic merging in and left space, and I felt confident after 20 minutes using it.   My wife didn't like it, and wanted to close her eyes as a passenger when I had the car in auto driving modes on the DVP, but was Ok when the traffic was lighter.
