After driving automatic cars for a few days, getting back into mine and hitting a perfect heel-and-toe downshift into the decreasing-radius corner on my route home.

Walked outside today, felt about +3, and more importantly it smelled like spring. (and no I don't mean dog poop :P)

Knowing that it doesn't matter what time I get there.

Amen to that!  Also, everyday I wake up healthy and able to go to work is a good day IMO and glad that I have a job I enjoy getting up for.  :)

A little late, but this one makes me happy every year:

Walking home from work on Friday with the dog, and we saw our first gophers.  Big, fat, lazy gophers (apparently the winter wasn't as bad as I thought, or they a great job stockpiling food last year!), just hanging out beside their holes.  Seeing them always gets the mutt's craziness going - but I only let him get close, not enough to actually catch them. (As if he could anyway! They're usually super quick...even the fat ones)

I'm at my desk around 7:35 and leave around 4:15 most days. Makes life just that little bit easier.
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

Baahahha no. But I do spend a fair bit of time on here, eating lunch, and generally doing nothing. Especially today.

Well, yes, but ultimately performance over the short term (a handful of years) is often largely random. A little facetime is sort of like a buffer :P

Anyway, I just spend it looking at pictures of cars, or doing errands :P

Lots of birds have arrived back in the last few days. Starting to hear song sparrows singing at daybreak.

Well then another little thing that makes me happy is my 9:05-3:15 workday – a wild anomaly in the advertising business.

Almost no one takes me seriously but I keep telling people to try and separate value creation from time...any progress at all will either make you more money or save you time or both.

I agree, most of my best ideas come over lunch. Afternoons are almost a total waste.

But corporate world is what it is. Seems to be a virtual guarantee once companies grow past a certain size.

If when I get to run my own fund...breakfast will be provided every day, at 730am, everyone eats around the breakfast table and talks about business. Then everyone should feel free to bugger off by 3pm unless shits really hitting the fan. Cut out all the useless meetings and distractions and 8am-3pm can be hyper productive.

Walking down a flight of stairs into my home office to go to work.

Going for a top down drive in the S2000 on a beautiful day

Seeing the look on my daughter's face on a plane during take off

Being extremely happy with where I am in life with regards to career and family.
