The push button issue is huge across the the industry, since all you need is a repeater - buy a faraday box and you are protected, I’ve had a few for years…
The vulnerability described in the article is unrelated, which means anyone with a $100 radio transmitter could crack execute the GitHub code & open a Honda, without the keys in sight!!!!
Others might also be exposed, but I have only seen Honda being called out so far.
